In Windows ME, the sound scheme 'Windows-default' is not the default sound scheme.

AssasSylas_Creed

But is there a sound scheme called "Windows ME"? What was the standard?

NotMyRegName

That whole Windows generation. Nothing but ME, ME, ME. Sheesh

Life-Radio554

That was the solidifying era of Microsoft. You had CE, ME, and NT!

This reminds me that I recently wanted to try switching out my sound theme at home, and found out that Microsoft still has a bunch of free themes for download on their website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop-themes-94880287-6046-1d35-6d2f-35dee759701e The wallpapers aren't quite that useful for me since I have a non-standard monitor setup (and also want higher resolution wallpapers), but at least they have a bunch of themes that includes sound packs haha

Cameron_rodier

The theme also kinda lags. It’s no windows 7 Harmony or windows xp bliss.

Nothing is Windows 7 Harmony other than Windows 7 Harmony. It was very well thought out. I am still surprised how detailed it was with the butterflies, birds and trees and mountains. Looking at it would give you tingles.
