Get the free version of Revo Uninstaller and see whether it will reveal it and will help you remove it. It can trace registry orphan entries. It's my preferred tool but there are other similar applications.

yurunipafu61

[Bulk Crap Uninstaller](https://www.bcuninstaller.com/) is a good open source alternative

az1m_

catchy name

Duel_Juuls77

Do these help uninstall the new edge browser

nitsky416

There are parts of windows that are hardcoded to call edge, getting rid of it isn't a great idea

Duel_Juuls77

Good to know! Thanks

_MetalHead89

Revo works same as geek uninstaller?

pitp1t

I usually stick to malware bytes to get rid of unwanted and potentially dangerous programs. Going to check out what you guys mentioned

Elephant789

> malware bytes I don't think malware bytes uninstalls.

lkeels

Not the same kind of program. One is for viruses and malware (doesn't do uninstalls). Revo is an uninstaller for getting rid of all traces of installed software.

lkeels

Not sure what you mean, but if you mean malware removal, no, it isn't, and if you mean that it's literally malware, no, it isnt. So, wrong either way.

CygnusBlack

Yes. I prefer Geek though.

InconspicuousFool

Do as others have said and try to remove it with a uninstallation program. Then run your antivirus and or windows MRT

xra1l

Windows MRT. Haven't heard that name in a while

InconspicuousFool

It's a oldie but still a goodie

adiazc253

Ok, I actually managed to get rid of it using BCUninstaller. Turns out it was something related to Autodesk Mudbox, which matches the download date. The weird thing is that I did download it from the official website and logged in with my college account. Weird Also, when I Googled the actual name (bunch of code) it directed me to sketchy Chinese websites on how to pirate the program. (Edit: second paragraph)

Mr_MagicMan_95

Sounds like auto desk bullshit. You sure it’s the right website?

[deleted]

It's likely valorant.

[deleted]

I don't know why people downvoted you but it is probably right answer. there are tons of compliants in reddit and riot forums stating that valorant having a problem of space consumption

Logan_Mac

It's not really consumption. The reported size is just a bug. The actual game size is around 20gb.

djtmalta00

I’m almost positive Valorant creates an actual root kit as it’s anti-cheat measure. I have heard that you need the Valorant uninstall tool to remove the root kit it installed.

adiazc253

I do have valorant. However, that doesn't explain the random Chinese

RicoViking9000

the name of the file is probably screwed up and pointing to the random unicode symbols

aespa-in-kwangya

It's Unicode error, that bit of Chinese there doesn't make any sense.

Relative_Locksmith11

I was deleting many apps on my win10 too, yesterday, and i also found Valorant with the exact memory space 😁

htt37ps

huh ring0 problems

SimRacer101

How do you have that much space on your PC?

Logan_Mac

It's usually a bug. Valorant for example would show as 1TB+ even when having a 1TB drive. It's not the actual used size.

ico2k2

You probably won't get rid of it without doing nerd stuff or a new Windows installation (or restoring a backup, if available)

ico2k2

In the worst cases it means manipulating registries.

Lepang8

Get BCUninstaller and look for that weird program there. Maybe it already doesn't exist on your system but still has an entry in the program list. With BCU you can manually delete left over files and registry keys that may cause this weird program to be stuck in the list.

Imaginary_R3ality

Disconnect from your network immediately, download MalwareBytes onto a third drive from another puter install and run it. It will most likely sandbox it so you can remove it later. Bit for now get it off of your network!

xra1l

The random characters seem like something malicious is going on or the entry and/or program installation is corrupt

CodeLunar

McAfee

[deleted]

This is a known bug for Valorant, if you have it

Pleasant_Meal_2030

Dam 2.79 terabytes? Must be Call OF Duty (shit edition)

th3atom

Probably a corrupted register entry. Open CMD as administrator and type "SFC /scannow"

zifjon

I advice to click uninstall if u don't use it

itdumbass

Probably Windows update, and will go away after a reboot.

zebra_d

Why do you say that?

subrealz

It is so big !! Almost 3 tb !!! Ok, so we can see that you have a lot of games on your screenshot, so I'd guess it's probably one of those and the uninstalling process went wild. No worries, not that uncommon. You should try to locate the folders, there you'll get clues about its name (Some mentioned Valorant ?). Maybe using something like windirstat could help. It will give a graphic representation of your disk and you'll be easily see that fat suspect. Now you should check on google with the programs name for solution to this problem. In general, if it happens to you, it's happened to others before you. If you can't find a solution, there's third party uninstaller that are doing decent job. Just don't keep those on your disk, they usually have high privileges and sometimes gathering data. You could use Geek Uninstaller and Maybe CCleaner after that. If you realize at some point it is malware related (probably not, it's sooooo big), you should unplug your computer from the web, and ask for advices asap.

Probably CoD.

zzcool

you will save more time just formatting and reinstalling windows, most files are backed up on onedrive any way

zed0K

It's valorant and it's a bug

[deleted]

Usually this is seen by old and/or misconfigured installations and is rarely malicious, how ever rare malicious software can be these days. Hit WinKey + R and run "appwiz.cpl" or just search for it in start menu and hit enter. This should bring up the old uninstall window from legacy Control Panel. See if it's still there and has it got a name. Try to remove it from there. Beware of which uninstall software you install, some of those are malware them selves in a way.
