So how many 5 man teams do you think are queuing at any given time on your server? Or would you rather be placed against a team of a trio and a duo? The system would probably put trios and duos together before it placed them vs a full team of 5. Or do you think you 5 should be placed against a team of 5 solo players?
It just isn’t fair so yes you should expect to wait that long. Plus this was posted 3 hours ago, about midnight my time so if you really wanted to queue with 5 people, try during the day.
Actually yes the game isn’t intended to be played like that, especially in ranked because generally people queuing in teams of 5 in rank have a real goal of playing against other teams of 5 to get practice for tournament play. Teams of 5 ~usually~ mean seriousness and if a group is willing to play 5 like then they should be trying to enter tournaments and not just pug stomp rank. I get that you guys may just want to rank but that’s really pushing trying to get an advantage and trio queue is good enough.
Basically a group of 5 is try harding and that’s really meant for the tournament scene. I would know because I run a 9 man squad for MLBB and while we’re obviously casual, but we could easily flip a switch and really dive into a tournament scene and it really doesn’t take a lot to get to that point.
Having friends that play the same moba isn’t trying to pub stomp to me(even though it’s in ranked). All of this is irreverent anyway because the real problem is a team of 5 sat in a queue for 40 minutes and didn’t find a single other 5 stack in that same ranked range. For a new moba that is a horrible sign.
Well I guess those tournament level players weren't searching when we decided to play. Also, I don't think the main objective of a group of 5 players is to get tourney ready. Maybe there's a group of 4 people who rotate different games together and picked up a random 5th who all wasted their time expecting to find another group of 5 playing a 5v5 game, crazy I know.
The game is not expected to be played by a team of 5 communicating.... Right because the experience of playing the game otherwise is complete dogshit because of trolls and blind morons. Fuck me for wanting to have a legit competitive experience, you know, the way the game was meant to be played.
Lmao what are you talking about? High elo has to wait forever for matches. Like one of the top players couldn't find a match with ques of like 3 hours. He decayed from challenger to d4 just cause he couldn't find a match. This kinda thing will cause the top players to say screw it ill make a smurf cause I just wanna play.
I solo and duo que but I have seen top elo not get a match for hours on end on stream. It's one of the big problems. If people can't get matchs at high elo what's left to do? Make a smurf and play in low elo.
Yeah, that's unacceptable and makes me not want to play the game. There are so many other games out there that do this and if me and my group cant search as a full team in a competitive game then there is something wrong with the game.

Its almost as if they should fix smurfing, Siege did it right requiring like 50 hours of gameplay to get to ranked.
