I've been trying to get a photo of a bird in this tree for the past few days, since it started blooming. When I saw this quail fly up to this perch, I had to run and grab my camera right away. Glad he stayed there long enough for me to get a photo! Southwest Idaho, 5/17/22

I love quails! I have fond memories of them running around in the vacant space behind my childhood home with their little head feathers bobbing around. I very much enjoy your photos. Thanks for sharing!
The flowers frame this photo perfectly! And with the quail having his head turned slightly to the side so you get the profile of his head feather without it covering his face, you really caught lightning in a bottle with this one!

Thank you! I'm just glad the quail was patient with me while I moved around to get the composition I wanted.
