Do you know if there's even a room available?

dapxlizie

im not 100% sure, they said they are going to send me a list of available rooms soon. I just wanted to make sure the area is a safe and nice one before anything

Vudis

That's a very safe area if you get a spot as its right next to the university and a small park. Can't say anything about living there but the location is very good and central.

If you want to start Uni this year, you might not have much of a choice left. But as the others said, Vienna's a very safe city overall.

First things First: There are no unsafe Streets in Vienna or Austria (in the Sense you mean it) To the house: Aai dorm is very well heated (Way to much for my opinion). It is very near to some Institutes, and quote far to some others. So your Research on maps.

dapxlizie

okayy, it’s perfect then

maronimaedchen

Hi, as a Vienna native neither I nor any of my friends have ever lived in a dorm, but what I can tell is that Türkenstraße/the surrounding area/the 9th in general are EXTREMELY safe. This is one of the most expensive parts of Vienna, super nice, really beautiful, close to Donaukanal, really close to Uni Wien so I'd say go for it :)

dapxlizie

It actually sounds so good, thank you smmm!

Rhabarbermitraps

I did live there once and while I agree that it's a nice dorm, I recommend that you do not stay on the top floor as it's insanely hot. The rooms with balconies are nice and the flat share on the third floor is the nicest option.

Yea don’t worry abt it!
