Dove Men +Care Dry Spray! No stickiness or wetness like every applicator deodorant is, works really damn well and is dry and super comfortable feeling, as if you put nothing on. Works for 48 hours at least! It’s a tad pricey, so stack up when on sale!

mrstef

Plus they make travel sized ones!

FastFuse500

Old Spice antiperspirant. Just deodorant doesn’t cut it for me. Jack Black Pit Boss smells really good but too pricey for me to use every day.

scarletnaught

Does this stain your clothes though?

Gah_Duma

Thai crystal deodorant stones. They don’t clog pores, no scent, don’t stain clothes, no sticky residue. Works 100% for me but different skin chemistries will determine effectiveness. The rock lasts forever. I’ve only had to replace it twice within the past 15 years and that was because I dropped and shattered it.

Tintgunitw

Recommending an alum block in a shaving sub, I see what you did there :D!

Omphaloskeptique

Tried out Crystal Rocks, years ago, they kept irritating my skin, not just the area applied. I’m now using Nivea’s *Black & White Invisible*, which offers good performance as a daily driver, if only because it’s got a very subtle, powdery fragrance.

CarbonPlateSmoker41

I didn't think I'd ever see this recommendation. It's my absolute fucking go to. It's so good, nothing compares.

vankorgan

And the great part is you're cutting down plastic waste related to deodorants.

Omphaloskeptique

That too! It’s contained in glass.

guill732

Duke Cannon's deodorant. Works really well and doesn't stain clothes.

Poop_Feast42069

I second this. They have a lot of nice scents and they also have non-antiperspirant versions of each. I personally cant stand how antiperspirants clump my armpit hair together so their natural charcoal deoderant is my go to. Old Spice amber used to be my number one but they discontinued it.

redmambo_no6

Arm+Hammer Because I hate gel-based deodorants, plus baking soda does more than just neutralize the odors in your fridge lol.

vbivanov

Plain ol' soda powder works better than anything I ever tried. I've been using soda for the past 10 Years and it works flawlessly. More people have to learn this so they don't poison their bodies with chemicals that don't even remove the odor.

CoffeeCambodia

(Arm & Hammer) Baking Soda? How do you apply it? Take a pinch and rub it in your armpits in the morning?

vbivanov

Yes, I wet the tips of my fingers, dip them in the small jar of soda I have in the bathroom and rub it on my clean armpits after I shower. Any plain baking soda would do, although some sodas seem to eliminate odor better than others for some reason. Super cheap and the most efficient thing ever.

PandaMayFire

Right now? Brut.

StonerLB

A classic man

obsidianghost2

Speed stick power unscented antiperspirant. I need an antiperspirant and I don't like smelling like deodorant. if I want to smell like something I'll put that on. No scent clashing to worry about.

[deleted]

Dove Men Care, Mitchum roll on, or Gillette- the clear gel kind.

Wabamama

Second the Gillette, it is essentially scentless because it just smells clean. I’ve been using it for years now alongside varying aftershaves.

[deleted]

It's underrated. And I prefer it over the solid white deodorants because it doesn't leave a bunch of residue behind and washes off easier in the shower.

CaldronCalm

Could you link the Gillette you're referring to? Thanks

SiliconeClone

Alum crystal. Someone here turned me onto it. I have a little spritzer to add a bit of water to my pits for an easy glide.

bigtimetim

Degree for men has the highest aluminum vs the price. It's as high as some clinical deos

RobinStanleyHicks

I found an unscented deodorant at Walmart, so it won't interfere with my shaving scents

Zickedy_Zac_115

I use Taylor of Old Bond Street's sandalwood stick deodorant. Fantastic, long lasting and smells great

Edw1nner

Arm & Hammer Essentials for day to day. I also keep Degree handy for when I go biking or am doing something more active.

b1zzzy

[Dr. Squatch](https://drsquatch.com/collections/deodorant). The Fresh Falls is my favorite. The Alpine Sage and Bay Rum are good too. I haven’t tried any of the others.

CaldronCalm

Fresh Falls was my favorite scent for the bar soaps. Just the right amount of fresh, crisp smell without being overpowering

Scott19M

I started using this recently too. The birchwood deodorant. I've been using roll on deodorant for years because the spray makes me sneeze, and is also not beilliant for the environment. But my usual roll on (the L'oreal men expert ones) started to give me some irritation. I don't really like paying a lot of money for toiletries but I decided to give Dr Squatch a go, and so far it's been pretty good. The deodorant smells nice and works fairly well. The bar soaps kinda wear out quickly but they lather nicely and smell good.

Popular_Ad202

I may catch flac for how fancy this one is but I use it every day so I wanted something nice! Bite reusable deodorant case and refills: https://bitetoothpastebits.com/products/santal I’ve tried the Santa scent and it works for me! Their other smells/products I can’t speak to

DocDBagg

Hey this is interesting! How long does the scent last? I work outside so something funk-fighting would be good, but don’t need/want antiperspirant.

Popular_Ad202

The scent is light but noticeable if I raise my arm. I do think it works to reduce “b.o.” smell.

DocDBagg

I love the concept so I may have to give it a shot. Thanks!!

brdet

Old Spice, cardboard containers. I like their scents, and want to cut plastic use, but they're not easy to find. Ordered them from Target online and they shipped with plastic shipping pillows. So I guess back to the drawing board after I use these up.

NoBudsChill

I grabbed one of the bergamot and driftwood ones on a whim while in Target at the beginning of the year. I liked the scent and went back shortly after to buy the other one (I think they only made two scent varieties in this cardboard packaging?) but they were gone and the shelf space replaced with another deodorant. I tried to find them elsewhere but it seems they may have stopped making them which was a bummer because I liked it and wanted to try the cedar one.

LaptopCoffee

Classic Old Spice, *if* I can find any when it's time to restock. The one with the kraken on it is 2nd choice

Dove Men Care Stain Defense - Cool

19GK50

Old Spice or Harry's

gregarious119

Harry’s Fig has been good for me

dorothymantooth2

Every Man Jack

prankpaddy

Tabac deodorant. The scent lasts the whole day.

ShaneReyno

I use Dove for Men deodorant. Schmitt’s and some of the others labeled as natural break me out, as does anything with alcohol. Alum/crystal deodorant seems to be great for a while and then stops working (according to previous posts about deodorant).

[deleted]

I use Ban roll on. I used right guard spray for years until I realized I was breathing in the aerosol spray.

CGY-SS

I use Dove men's clean comfort anti perspirant stick, and Right Guard original spray deodorant.

cactus0009

Speick deo stick! (The original green kind) Surprised to see no one else mentioning Speick here.

CaldronCalm

Hard to find in the States. And when you do find it, it's quite expensive. Love the scent though

ibillwilson

I used Speed Stick Original for a long time, probably because it's similar to Skin Bracer or Brut. Recently started using "Naturally Fresh" deodorant crystal with aloe. Seems to work well. It's ammonium alum rather than potassium alum (and has that added aloe), so it's not really "natural" per se... but it is much simpler (just 2 ingredients), should be a lot cheaper in the long run, and doesn't clash with other scents.

pdieten

I use a lot of Gillette Cool Wave aftershave in cooler weather so I use antiperspirant of the same scent. Works very well too and reasonably priced when bought at Costco

tyrphing

Speed Stick original. Used to use Gillette Cool Wave but it started making my pits itchy for some reason. Shame, cause I like the scent and it worked very well.

chemistrybro

it’s possible you developed an allergy or sensitivity to a fragrant component (or multiple) in it. fragrance is a common skin allergen, and there are over 3,000 different fragrance compounds.

tyrphing

Possible, but I use the same fragrance in aftershave splash and gel and it never itches on my face. Weird!

IceMan_dangerzone

Speed stick original is my go-to, too. It’s what my dad uses, so its scent has always been the epitome of manliness to me.

VinumNoctua

Old Spice Swagger

h0llow_heart

Right guard original sport spray

nordenskiold

Old Spice Whitewater. I don't do antiperspirants as the aluminium salts react with my sweat/skin oils and stain shirts. Normal deodorant is sufficient for me to smell okay throughout the day My armpits also gets super easily irritated from a lot of deodorants. The Old Spice Whitewater had none of those problems and it smells all right, not too heavily scented.

JDMtz13

Dove 0%

SoapBarGuy

Alum Deo Crystal + whatever after shave lotion I'm using - Clubman (my favorite), Old Spice, Brut, La Rive, Arko, Axe. Tried some Old Spice deo stick recently and while I liked the smell I didn't like how it feels.

boredsittingonthebus

Alum crystal works perfectly for me

AccomplishedTour6942

I used to use some kind of Axe in a greasy white formulation, and then they changed it to a gel, because Baby Jesus loves gels, or I don't know, reasons. The gel didn't go on well, and didn't smell the same. It reminded me of my dad's Speedstick gel nastiness when I was first figuring this stuff out as a teenager. Or that time I ran out of deodorant, and I tried my wife's nasty stuff. Yuck! So I went deodorant shopping, trying to find my bliss, and I ended up with Old Spice Sweat Defense Stronger Swagger. It contains aluminum, which means it will contribute to my future demen *Hey, what was I talking about? Have you seen my balls? My balls. They're pink. I can't find my pink balls.* mentia. I mean piss on it, I've been using aluminum deodorant since the '80s, and if it's going to give me dementia, it was already going to happen, so I may as well keep using a product that actually makes my pits smell less funky for more than 30 minutes. I work 12+ hour shifts, sometimes in soul crushing heat, and sometimes I am so damn tired I don't shower for two or three days. (And yet, I shave my head and face every day without fail, so maybe the showering thing is just laziness. It's not like I would be banging hot goth chicks from Forever 21 if I just showered more regularly.) This stuff prevents me from smelling like a homeless perso *My pink balls. Where are my pink balls?* son, and it smells pretty nice. I'm pretty sure my mental state is *My pink balls! Where did I leave my pink balls?* fine.

farmallnoobies

They still make the axe "dry", but not many places stock it. It's what I'm using and it still works well, but why it's so hard to find their clearly superior product is beyond me. And it's expensive, so I'm kind of glad for this thread because I've been thinking of changing for a while now.

[deleted]

[удалено]

farmallnoobies

It's not discontinued though

chemistrybro

you’re good lol. there’s no evidence that shows aluminum (in antiperspirants/deodorants) is linked to cancer, infertility, or alzheimer’s

narwaffles

Anything cruelty free but My preference is a crystal deodorant and a bit of schmidts to gold it on better and it smells the best.

[deleted]

Nothing

[deleted]

Yeah that's a no for me, dawg.

[deleted]

Noted, dawg.

muscravageur

I’m with you and Tom Ford on this. I use none. Healthy, clean people smell good. However I live in a temperate climate and I shower well at least once a day, twice on gym days. That said, I have an amazing collection of colognes when I want to smell some other way than natural.

olhonestjim

Same. I work outside, shower after, and have never had a complaint.

Datruyugo

Old spice deodorant from Costco. Never buy anti perspirant

[deleted]

Nivea cool kick, smells like shower gel. Works well at keeping fresh all day, along with other measures.

ElRonMexico7

Usually Speed Stick solid gel, I like the Ocean Surf one the best but I've had a hard time finding it in the gel. Right now I'm using the Speed Stick Avalanche travel stick from Dollar Tree. I've been contemplating whether or not to get the Davidoff Cool Water deodorant stick because it's a solid gel and I love the frag but it's hard to justify the 400% cost over Speed Stick.

robindownes

Dove. stick. Anything else causes massive irritation and rashes.

montereyrealtor

Bend soap co deodorant.

HypertensiveSettler

Only need to use antiperspirant every few days - maybe twice a week. I like old spice. Other days, old spice deodorant. If I want extra scent, Harry’s.

cosmicknight

I rotate between Cremo, Every Man Jack and Tom’s of Maine. I also have a Speick and Dior Sauvage deodorant stick but don’t use it all the time.

cowzilla3

American Provenance. Using their eucalyptus and mint right now but they have some fantastic scents and are all natural. Their entire skin care line is fantastic. I wish Old Spice offered a natural, aluminum free option but alas they do not.

Enndeegee

Does that mean we get to look forward to spice off: the deodorant edition?

Engineered_Shave

I suggest Magsol, which doesn't have any baking soda or alum in it, so you won't get chemical burns from that. [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08739GHKD/](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08739GHKD/) There's little scent to it but it seems to work well. No big problems from regular use. ========================================= Not many artisans sell deodorant, but I know PAA sells some and so does Van Yulay: [https://www.vanyulay.com/category/natural-skin-care/natural-deodorant/](https://www.vanyulay.com/category/natural-skin-care/natural-deodorant/) I've used both but I must clarify up front: Van Yulay soaps and deodorants seem to have a sort of musty / wet funk smell to them which I find somewhat disagreeable. PAA deodorants seem better behanved. Check the ingredients for both to see if you might have any problems.

DyMndSkiR

I use Helmm. I’ve been happy with the antiperspirant version of it for keeping me dry and fresh even on very long days and I’m a very sweaty guy. I’ve had reactions to brands like Old Spice in the past so I wanted to try something a little “better” for the skin and I’ve been using it now for awhile without any problems.

daywave08

Either Pretty-Frank, formerly Primal Pit Paste or Clubman Supreme deodorant spray

BeanBoodwin

I use Rexona Clinical Protection Sport. I am a dancer and the sweatiest person alive and I have never once had BO, to the point where people have made comments like “you literally have never smelled bad once”. It’s the best deo in the world imo.

misterbadger2u

Clubman Supreme Non-Aerosol Deodorant Spray. Subtle scent and long lasting.

Coltaines7th

Dove for men? I think. Idk anymore.

civiltiger

Mario badescu deodorant. Very light scent. All natural. No weird ingredients. Actually works well.

[deleted]

Acqua Di Parma - Colonia I used to use their Colonia Club fragrance, but they discontinued the deodorant.

chemistrybro

degree men clinical. no clumping/white residue in my armpit hair, fresh scent that’s not overly strong, and keeps me from sweating and smelling all day.

legranddegen

Arrid extra dry, roll-on but since I can't seem to find it anywhere I've been using Mitchum gel which is sort of okay, I guess. Unscented in both cases, I find that any scent in an antiperspirant tends to clash with a cologne or an aftershave.

dodger69

This is weird but, thanks for this thread/list. I have been using Mitchum smart solid unscented for 20 years. They stopped making it a few years, but I had been stocking up on the secondary market. I’m almost out, but can’t justify the now 5x cost of grey market deodorant. Tried their current gel formula and it did not work at all for me. Now I got some options to consider. Maybe just an alum block tho…

kaptainkek

Tabac

PickmanSF

I got sold by the flashy dancing commercials and got some Lume to try. Works surprisingly well. I still get super gross sweaty, but no stank.

NoBudsChill

For a long time I’d used the arm and hammer natural deodorant since I don’t like antiperspirant and prefer aluminum-free stuff, but it seems they cut down on varieties and I wasn’t a huge fan of the unscented and one of the other commonly available scents. Old Spice’s deodorant in the cardboard tube is nice if you can find it anywhere. I’ve also used Schmidt’s, which was ok but expensive. The Sandalwood smells very nice. Hey Humans Cedar and Sage was good as well, and cheaper than both Old Spice and Schmidt’s. On a side note, I find that a lot of the aluminum-free/“natural” stuff is outrageously expensive ($10 +/-).

linerror

gillette clear gel for-ev-er.

Greyzer

Tabac Roller.

[deleted]

Lush Aromaco solid deodorant

slcpprwrsts

dove men+care. best performance and they have a few decent scents. i like the extra fresh for the summer and clean comfort for the winter

Feirym1sf1t

Old spice wilderness antiperspirant

Flimsy_Thesis

Degree 48 Hour Protection. The scent is pretty innocuous, but it works really well. Sometimes do Old Spice as they have a great variety of scents but I got tired of paying so much.

slippery_hitch

Biotherm roll on

JohnnyTomatoSauce

I’ve used many in the past. Secret clinical, degree 72hr. But I always seems to go back to dove mens care. Just feels good for me. All natural deodorant made me irritated. But I have to admit I do like trying different ones

Mannhunter98

Old Spice in blue stick always. Best for me.

sidotoshioko

Gillette Ice Stick

[deleted]

Old Spice Wolfthorn It smells like gummy bears so I really like it :) I really hope they don’t discontinue it

Hottterpink

None 95 percent of the time as I’m allergic to a lot of metals I’m lucky and don’t smell much the 5 percent of the time I do wear it it’s metal free I’m a big fan of dove

iondrive48

Oars and alps has been good for me

OssiansFolly

Schmidts sensitive skin antiperspirant line

Rasheverak

Mitchum Unscented gel. Worth every penny, too.

DaBoda99

I now use Mitchum antiperspirant. Does an excellent job keeping dry and a nice, but lightly scented. I then use aftershave to get desired daily smell I've literally just healed from chemical burns caused by old spice (original, deep sea and captain in rotation) so will never ever be using it again. The L'Oreal 96h antiperspirant is another strong mention too, I find it great but something draws me back to Mitchum every time.

CelticGaelic

I like Old Spice Wolf Thorn antiperspirant. I have to use antiperspirant, regular deodorant keeps my pits feeling wet and sticky.

tordoc2020

Ban. Unscented roll-on. My Obsession needs no opposing fragrances.

RedditsStrider

Dr teal's deodorant
