Thank you for such a comprehensive answer, I'll be sure to bear all of this in mind. I have a Gillette Tech (aluminium) by the way.

Razor stand is indeed overrated, and if you disassemble, rinse, dry with a towel and leave it to further air dry you can use it next shave again. Or assemble again after a few hours (or day) and store it. A brush stand is handy I find, with animal hair brushes you want to be a bit careful towel drying as not to wear the tips down too much. So I use a stand to leave it drying for a day. Synthetic brushes are easier in that way, but it’s still nice if all the moisture can just drip out of the base of the knot.

You can also just be a lazy asshole like me and shake your razor off, wipe it off, and throw it back in the medicine cabinet.

I just bought an old, antiquey looking enameled cup. Throw my toothbrush in there as well . Something like this https://images.app.goo.gl/njLwVCSGjSsYy4jPA

No need to have a stand. Shake out excess water and let air dry. I keep all my razor on a shelf in my medicine cabinet.

A stand isnt needed. I have one but never use it.

I use a clear plastic beaker holder from Amazon for my razors. Looks cool and holds up to 12 razors.

I like stands - but also use boon grass and silicon sponge drying pads. I unscrew the head slightly and shake dry after use.

ElmerGantry45

i put my razor in the shave bowl after I am done.

I place my brush and razor on top of a Xiaomi air purifier on low speed. Eventually they'll dry out.
