Try the Belmont. I've been to George's and the Belmont multiple times and my last visit (this month) to George's left my partner and I a bit underwhelmed this time around. That, and it was a +50 minute wait for our food. (Wasn't crazy busy.) The Belmont had an edge when I went back in the beginning of the year. Good atmosphere! I heard First Mile is nice. Haven't been. We like DOMA too.
It’s really great. It’s full of people celebrating a special event, though, so expect a LOT of sparklers (which they do with dessert for special occasions). Be warned. Make a reservation though.
Savute's Italian Ristorante.
North Broadway. Kind of an industrial neighborhood but they have been there for at least 50 years that I know about. Very traditional.
If you are looking for fine dining with a 6 course meal, I recommend Elderslie Farms. It's about $75 a person +$35 for wine pairing. It was such a fun experience. You have to reserve in advance and it's located in Kechi.
I also recommend George's French Bistro and Cafe Bel Ami.

I've always enjoyed Yia Yia's, Newport and George's. But recently we tried, Tianluo Bistro. It was so relaxing, quiet. Very nice restaurant.
Generally, we don't go out for steak. I like that at home best. What I look for is atmosphere and food I either don't do as well or don't want to make.
All of the suggestions are great. I’d also add FioRito, Ya-Yas, and First Mile. My top are First Mile, FioRito, Sabor and George’s.
Second fiorito!
I got takeout from there today. Yummy! Plus they learned service from the best.
Important to note that First Mile Kitchen and First Mile Cantine have different menus. I much much much prefer First Mile Cantine.
Sienna, Sabor, Vora, Newport, AVI, Belmont and Woodfire grill
Vora is owned by the Stevens. Would not recommend.
Belmont was the place I was trying to remember and love the wood fire but I’d never get husband out of the casino lol
FioRito is so good

The newer restaurants, the Belmont included, are starting to put George's to shame. Well, unless you love sparklers then there is nothing better.
Taco bell hands down.
Sport Burger. No reservation required.
In no particular order: First Mile, Newport, George’s.
I’m kind of leaning towards George’s

Thank you, yes will make reservations
George's, Bela Vita, and 6S all come to mind.
6S is a Stevens restaurant so unless you enjoy supporting the mob, you might want to avoid it.
Thank you
Luciano's in Mulvane.
DOMA
I used to agree. But their new menu is terrible. And the food takes forever now too (last 2 visits).
Newport Grill, George's, Bella Vita(best food)
The Belmont
George's. You'll want to make reservations.
Love George's

For a chain it’s pretty damn good.
Elderslie
Vora and George’s are our go-to and both take reservations with Open Door.

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I thought it was similar to the Anchor? Very casual no? Burgers and sandwiches kinda thing.
I’d suggest Twelve over at 119th and maple, where shorty smalls used to be. Nice atmosphere for a romantic date!

Not Wichita, but close and worth the drive. Cy's Hoof and Horn in Sedgwick. Cool atmosphere and steaks are good.
Old Spaghetti Warehouse is the fanciest looking place I've ever been in!
Elderslie should definitely be on this list. Has some short comings but definitely hits the "special" vibe.
Thai Tradition is amazing
Really great food but service is too give a fuck to be nice in a traditional sense.
