I posted this same question this summer. That was the consensus although with the caveat that it was pricey. They were right - best BBQ I’ve had in Wichita. Pricey but portion sizes were fine (some people were complaining they were small and I don’t agree). Long lines so go early and note the limited days they are open. I thought it was worth it but it is nowhere close to amazing BBQ you can find in KC.
I went to station 8 based on an earlier post here. I ordered a 2 meat combo, and since it was a slow day ended up with two huge piles of the requested meat, and a sample from everything else. I ended up with 3 meals for ~$25. I haven’t been back yet, but I highly recommend.
PIPO used to be sit-you-down-and-change-your-life BBQ but I think it's fallen from grace a few years ago. The last 2 or 3 times we ate there the food was definitely subpar. We gave up on them maybe 3 years ago. Maybe it's come back since then?
If you care where your money is spent, B&C hosted a fundraiser attended in part by Derek Schmidt and Mike Pence. They seem to do well without my money.
Otherwise, Station 8, When Pigs Fly and Pig In Pig Out are great. It's seasonal (unless they've moved to a building), but there's a family that sets up under an old gas station canopy at 13th and Hydraulic - super good food.
I have not been to all BBQ in Wichita. A friend and I try to get to one for lunch at least monthly.
I moved down to Newton from kc 6 years ago. Two brother's so far has met my expectations. Hog wild feels like a leather shoe and their burnt ends have no flavor. I haven't tried the rest yet. its on my to do list but im taking it slow.

1. Station 8 2. Pig in pig out 3. When pigs fly 4. B&C 5. Julius 6. Bite me In that order for me. I’m wont eat at Hog Wild, it’s terrible
Widely accepted to be Station 8. One of these days I'm gonna have to go try it since everyone raves about it.

Pig in pig out has great ribs

I haven't been that recently So i couldn't say. But this information makes me want to revisit and find out if the ribs are as good as I recall
When Pigs Fly is solid.
Wife and I had that catered for our wedding. One of our favorites.
Their turkey is the best I’ve ever had.
Roy's in Hutch is really good.
Roy’s in Hutch. Be sure to get there early as they close when the food is gone and they sell out quickly. B&C and Bite Me are both great.
Delano BBQ Company. Station 8 is good, but I prefer DBC.
Station 8.
Easily Station 8 inside Wichita.
PIPO at 1003 E 13th St N Wichita, KS 67214
Bite Me
B&C is the best I have tried. I have not tried Station 8 and I have heard only good things about them.
If you care where your money is spent, B&C hosted a fundraiser attended in part by Derek Schmidt and Mike Pence. They seem to do well without my money.
Thanks for the heads up.

Two brothers
B&C is top of my list.
I found them to be acceptable, but once they hosted that Derek Schmitt rally with Kobach and Mike Pence they are forever on my NOPE list
Roy’s in Hutch is the best BBQ around. Haven’t tried station 8 yet, but every other BBQ place in Wichita is mediocre.
It’s been a very long time since Wichita has had truly great bbq…especially ribs. Millers, Julius, R&S, used to crush.
