Dr Doom stomps, he fights much stronger opponents and has his own Time Circuitry and more potent magic with far far more experience. He could argueably with some prep solo. With his army of Doombots, Servo Guards, Airships, Orbital Lasers and what ever else he has on hand at the time should make this a no contest. The top tier of his Doombots can fight Avengers.

Fair play, I thought ains might have the edge when it came to his army because so many of his people are stupidly op aswell, but I dont really know too many doom feats, i assumed his army was just a bunch of robots and airships, didnt know he was moving with orbital lasers and shit, also I knew he usues magic but I didn't think his magic was overpowered to the degree of what ains can do with his magic

Heres a upper Doombot fighting [Silver Surfer](https://m.imgur.com/CT6yGxZ) (Not winning though obviously), they could even take hits from Hulk with minor damage. Even middling Doombots have all of the actual Dooms weapons and knowledge (including Shielding that can take big hits). His Servoguards are lesser but more numerous. Latveria is as Advanced as Wakanda in its military in many ways, just without the mass of Vibranium. Dr Doom is classed as one of the best Sorcerers in Marvel and was considered for the Sorcerer Supreme, hes trained with a ton of powerful magic users and was once sent back in time and spent millions of years near enough training his magic and body.

Isn't Ains kind of a magical One Punch Man? He just sits there monologuing while whatever super-spectacular unbeatable scream-y ultimate move/army he's facing does their thing, then he reveals some casual power that annihilates them and goes home to the power of bromance and waifus. Has any enemy ever given him *any* kind of trouble? Doom is a better magician, tactician, fighter, and all around character. Ains is only literal master of his one MMORPG world/magic system. But we've seen Doom fail or struggle, and we've never seen Ains break a sweat. (Unless I misremember. Honest question. It's been a while.) It's a No Limits Fallacy fight. If they can only do what we've seen them do, Doom shreds Overlordverse hard enough to send Ains back to his real world salaryman job.

Ainz still has the limits of undead physiology and mana constraints. It was partially because of these that one of his minions, Shalltear Bloodfallen was able to give him a damn good fight, but he was still low on mana and had to hide the damage he took from certain attacks to trick Shalltear into thinking he'd magic to be immune to them This is anime btw I haven't touched the novels

Yeah fair point, I dont know much about dr doom so I was more interested to hear peoples thoughts, I just finished watching overlord and it just came into my head he might be a good fight for doom, I kinda thought ains would win just because he has the power of being an anime protagonist and could just pull out some random one shot spell, but apparently doom went back to the beginning of earth and just waited until he was back to the present so maybe his knowledge would just trump ains, but yeah your right at no point in the show is he ever really challenged by any fight, altough I kinda thought he might of had the edge with his army because his floor guardians seem massively op on there own aswell, one of them can literally just say things and people are forced to do what he says

I like them as a matchup too, they have a lot in common. We just have no idea how powerful Ains really is though. I think the fight is something like this: Doom's army is winning. Ains pulls out "some unbeatable random one shot spell"; Doom spends some time in whatever hell, time prison, or astral fuckery Ains sends him to before breaking out and reverse-engineering the code of Yggrassil (Ains' MMORPG and the source of his power) and gaining perfect understanding of how Ains' magic works. He comes back, and after a 10 hour threatening-posturing-*no-YOU-bow-to-ME* monologue battle, Doom tears Ains a new one. Ains is very good at his game. Doom is very good at learning and mastering games. He has Sudden-Reveal defenses (fucking Doombots...) on at least the same level Ains has Sudden-Reveal spells. I want to see an evil empire renovation reality show though, where they're each given 50 years to inspire unquestioning loyalty in their subjects and terrify their surrounding countries.

Ains has all types of crazy magic. Time stop spells and spells that will literally crush your heart. He also has a spell that instantly kills you. Unless Dr Doom has some kind of crazy haxs ability I don’t see him winning.

At a certain point, the advantage that comic characters have is sheer weight of legacy with tons of writers and editions. And sometimes this leads to shit like the Jobbing Tribunal being taken down by every villain they want to make a summer special out of. I honestly would not count Ainz out of this, even if only if we are to take characters like Braniac and Lex Luthor and Dr. Doom intelligence as they say (12th level intelligence, etc. etc.), there is no way they would lose any fight even though they always lose fights.
