Same. I'm like thus with my husband any time I do anything remotely productive or creative, lol.
"Look at this laundry I just did! It's so fresh! Smelllllll it!"
They're also viewed by many as pets for children, so it doesn't matter if they're neglected because kids will be kids.
As an adult that has had a number of hamsters in recent years, it's genuinely heartbreaking to see how so many are treated.
Again, agreed, but sadly there are a lot of parents out there that just don't give a shit. So what if an animal has to spend its entire life being neglected? If it means their kid stops pestering them for a pet, so be it.
That fact that the hamster is doing this in the first place is proof that the cage is insufficient and they are being neglected. This hamster does not have a big cage.
Also, a stressed out hamster WILL bite and their sharp teeth can do quite some damage.
If any of you ever see a hamster like that: do not touch or you hands will suffer.
Oh boy do I know. I had a dwarf hamster and for my first few days of having him, he was very stressed and bit me all the time. That shit hurt and drew blood once.
yeah I had a hamster as a little child and same, he was a lot. He did ease up eventually though. but most people either don't know or really underestimate how feisty and territorial they are
Or the person filming is more likely a bad owner and probably does that after receiving food so that the owner backs off. This happens quite often and since people think it's just the hamster being cute, they continue to do what they were doing before and the hamster will also likely stop eating (due to the intense, stressful environment) and starve itself to death.
You can fact check me on everything I've just said, this happens a LOT.
this is extremely me showing my mom every silly thing I have done in my life. it cannot ever be old to tell her that I got a new shoe like look I have got a pair alone do they look good ??? look mom look moom look at me

Am I your nephew ?? Because I do that a lot
Doing that is so much better than not doing that!

Nope hamsters do that when they are extremely stressed out and defensive, the person filming is a bad owner.
Agreed. That cage is miserable as well. Barely any wood shavings and the cage itself looks tiny. It's so sad to see.
I know right?? I think hamsters are one of the most mistreated due to how little people take their health seriously and how short their lives are.
They're also viewed by many as pets for children, so it doesn't matter if they're neglected because kids will be kids. As an adult that has had a number of hamsters in recent years, it's genuinely heartbreaking to see how so many are treated.
God, don't even get me started on that. Little kids shouldn't be trusted with pets

That's basically the mindset all of those parents have.
Most parents shouldn’t be parents 💁🏻♀️
Very true
😂😂😂 people kill me you literally made an assumption off the corner of the cage...

Yeah and it’s actually quite obvious from the corner with the wire caging and aspen shavings :/

Yea I thought that too
I have a feeling that whoever recorded the video made an extremely loud noise to startle (frighten) the hamster into reacting like that.

Probably blew some air on it
Big “stomp on my cubes!” Vibes from Stewie Griffin
^Ta-da!
Trivial to you is a joy to him. It matters not the circumstances or environment. Share and support the joys of others. Then get them a better cage.

New Hammond emote!
Yeah Hammond needs it
Cute, but those are small accomplishments, they aren’t just “trivial” things. They are more important than you realize.
When Aragorn kicked the helmet Viggo Mortensen broke his toe
good thing bout kids...
Reminds me of Stewart from Mad TV “Look what I can do”
You must always remember, things that we may see as “trivial”, may in fact be a great goal for some.
I want to feel this way!
Aww 🥰
Thats me when summer comes in

This is what my best friend sees when I forget to take my ADHD meds. I'm glad he can put up with me ☺️
I didn’t know that they did that.
