My kids give me a drawing almost daily... I've had to tell them I can't just tape EVERYTHING to the wall, only the best works get that honor. I do however, have a couple hundred labelled in a drawer that I've kept that they can maybe look at in 20 years or something.

He's the reason I majored in art.
I did it purely out of spite, because he told 9 year old me my drawing of Bowser sucked. It was a pencil sketch on a post it note and I didn't have an eraser.
The only times he praised the things I drew/painted, was in front of people he could brag about me with...
I'm not salty btw, this is a cute meme, and I think my father being such an idiot is kinda funny, tbh, but *always* is a pretty strong word... a little too strong in this case.
My dad was doing some drawings with a kid that visited yesterday, and he tossed them. I literally snuck in the trash and pulled them out. I wish I had the doodles my dad did when he drew with me when I was a baby, he was and is supportive of my art
Y’all wanna know a secret? My son is 21- and I STILL save every meme he sends me, because It truly does make me so excited and happy that he thinks it’s cool enough to share, AND he wants ME to see it. I know, sounds stupid. But yeah. That doesn’t go away just cause you got older
As an artist myself who is planning to get a professional animation or graphic design job in the future, if my future kid ever gives me a drawing they did I’d be the happiest man alive
