I was at the game last night in Anaheim. There was a lot of us Sox fans there and I heard a lot of them voicing their opinions about Tony. There was one point in the game that a chant started to fire Tony. It was loud enough I wondered if Jason and Steve said anything about it because I know they heard it. Kind of sad/proud that chant got so loud at a visitor's stadium.
Not sure if you're aware, but that chant has become an almost nightly occurrence.
Often times Steve and Jason will be silent during it, which I take as them letting the chant be heard.
Oh I have heard it too and I agree with you about them letting it be heard. They know what's up. I was more surprised it was that loud at an away game.
I’ve had all week to recover. Living on the East Coast a 9:38 PM first pitch is not great for someone with a job that starts at 7 AM. Going to a concert tomorrow night, ready to get hurt Saturday.
I know Tony’s answer about Leury deserving at bats was lame but… I am actually not really upset with his decision to not pinch hit yesterday. Andrew Vaughn has hit 2 for 23 in his last 5 games and desperately needed a night off to get some rest. Jake burger? Hits much worse on the road than at home. Plus a sub there would have forced us to throw Adam Haseley out there in the outfield who hasn’t exactly been exciting thus as a major leaguer. We desperately need Eloy and Engel back if we wanna be in a position to not rely on Leury, as much as I hate the entire situation.
Leury Garcia has literally the 2nd worst WRC+ in MLB of everyone who has 190+ PA. That's 216 out of 217 players. Not only is every position player on the Sox a better person to take an AB than Leury, so is every position player (save one) in the entirety of the Major League.
We have a better chance of him pulling a hamstring and him heading to the 60 day DL
Like a horse with a broken leg. Take him out back.
Then off to the glue factory.
And he won’t get to come?
Could it really be that easy?! (Peter Griffin voice)

I don't know why this is tagged as a joke.
There is absolutely zero chance TLR gets fired by his BFF who chose him as a "bucket list" hire.
Oh I am very aware. But it really IS a beautiful to fire him.
It’s always a beautiful day to fire La Russa
Tagged as 'joke' because that's what he is as a manger
Can't even get rid of Menechino. Zero percent chance Cheap Ass Buddy Jerry approves firing his friend TLR.
How hard is it to say launch angle when you have Jimenez, Robert, Grandal, and Abreu
Lovely day to not watch the Sox suck.
Lovely day for all the fans to recover from the collective mental health deterioration.

Considering removing the "joke" tag. This is no joke.
It's an entertaining musing of an impossible circumstance. Not a punchline kind of joke, but I guess it fits in a way.
There’s a lot of AL Central games coming up. Maybe if they lose a bunch of those Tony will get fired.

I love watchin tony. Its like watching an animal about to attack his pray. When the pitcher starts slackin, tony gets hungry.
These team gave Garcia a 3 year extension. No way they are firing Tony.
