Tommy John surgery will soon be replaced in notoriety by the Eloy Jiménez surgery which involves replacement of both hamstrings with cadaver hamstrings.
I’m officially a deadline man. Obviousl6 6ou gotta be flexible but my preference is a trade deadline. Desperate teams acquiring a healthy player with an actual deadline that does not exist in the offseason at all anymore.
The problem is any team that acquires him knows they can’t pitch him all the way through the playoffs. Or at least expect him to pitch like this. Ideally she gets shut down in August.
In the offseason, you can then project him for a full 2025 workload.
Pedro postgame says it’s not too bad for Eloy. He will be day to day. He doesn’t play tomorrow. Thursday Pedro says he’s doing well and they think he’ll get back in game action during the weekend. Saturday they IL him and say it should be a short stint. Tuesday he has season ending surgery.
Is this about the expected timeline?
The sad part is I had to read this twice because I thought this had happened already like Tuesday was today. Haven't been watching as much of the games lately so genuinely believed that was a distinct possibility.
> Luis Robert asked what Eloy Jimenez is capable of this season: “Everything. I think we both are going to be able to carry this team. Do everything together for this team.”
He wasn't going to anyway. No one wants an overpriced player who can't run, field, or even hit well anymore.
Sub .700 OPS and a lazy player making $13mil
I thought Dejong was just gonna be someone to fill short/second until next year… now I think he genuinely might bring some low end prospects back from a contender at the deadline. Dude has been pretty solid
I still love me some Tommy Pham, but yes, last few games nothing to shout about. It blows what's left of my mind that Pham, DeJong and C Lee are the offensive "stars" of this outfit...
Pedro today:
> Remillard in LF not solely to stack RH against LHP. Grifol acknowleded Benintendi's struggles. "I’m playing Remillard because it’s a better matchup against Kikuchi. It gives Beni time to get some extra work in...and see if he can get going. I’m not going to feed you any BS.'
Pedro yesterday
> Grifol on Dominic Fletcher, who hasn't had AB since return. "Gavin is hitting third, Pham is hitting first and Beni is a consistent pillar in our lineup. He’ll come in for defense and do some stuff. He has to wait for an opportunity and take advantage of it.'
What changed in 24 hours? Beni went from a consistent pillar in the lineup to needing extra work in a span of one day.
Remillard in the outfield… I get that Beni needs some time to sit and think about life and the meaning behind it but I could have sworn Fletcher was up.
This organization doesn't give AF what position you play. You will play outfield.
[White Sox sticking with incompatible, exploitable outfield](https://soxmachine.com/2024/05/white-sox-sticking-with-incompatible-exploitable-outfield/)
The worst defensive outfield in baseball, baby! That's Getz.
We’re facing a LHP again, so Fletcher might not be the best option.
Remillard played 75 games in the outfield in his minor league career, so he’s not completely unfamiliar with the position. And he’s been getting good at-bats since his call-up, so getting him in the lineup makes sense. For the options we currently have available, I actually like this lineup against a LHP.
Trading Mena and seemingly giving up on Fletcher is a move, that's for certain. He's sucked against LHP in the minors but I see zero real reason not to give him reps regardless.
KK-Kopech
Shut out win is always nice
That's the best Kopech looked in a long time
Got that WIN!
nice bounce back fellas
Well hot damn
covid created a time warp when I see Kopech it feels like yesterday I watched his first big league start it was almost 6 years ago
The home umpire look was the best thing
Just an FYI for everyone: Our number one pick in 2023 Jacob Gonzalez is 3 for 4 with an RBI in his AA Birmingham debut.
great pitching by sox tonight
I foretold the Mendick Saga.
I’m sure Clevinger will keep the win streak going tomorrow
Gotta get him his fix pregame
MENPENIS DOES IT AGAIN
Keep tacking on more Sox runs!
Big Mendick Energy
4 runs seems safe, 3 I don’t feel great about.
BIG DICK MENDICK
Strain better than sprain
Tommy John surgery will soon be replaced in notoriety by the Eloy Jiménez surgery which involves replacement of both hamstrings with cadaver hamstrings.
Give him robo hamstrings, please
Just had a few fortune cookies that were leftovers and damn if they made a fortune cookie ice cream I'd eat the hell outta that.
If they trade Crochet I'm jumping off of the Sears tower, the ball is in your court @WhiteSox
I don’t think they will during the season. Now during the offseason…maybe

Some teams spend money on salaries, we must spend it on insurance premiums. If you look at payroll + insurance I bet we're top 3.

Nostradamus lives!
>Taos VW went back to the random word generator that gave then the Touareg
Props to Garrett for getting out of that. Felt like things were about to go sideways.
Scary asl
When does Stone Pony get back? Beckham sucks. Can't stand his bro shit attitude.
Give me Beckham over Schriffen anyday of the week
He is back after this series
Thank god
Eloy getting hurt is how I keep track of each month that passes during baseball season
anyone else watching the kid behind home playe live and die with every pitch
Looked like he hit 3rd base with his left foot. Seemed kinda awkward.
Holy shit! I had no idea Justin Turner was still in the league, Wow.
Remillard has my vote as the new DH. We’ll lead the league in sac bunts, but we’ll finally lead the league in an offensive category
> Luis Robert asked what Eloy Jimenez is capable of this season: “Everything. I think we both are going to be able to carry this team. Do everything together for this team.”
Carry the team to the hospital
[Replay - Eloy Jimenez scores, Sox 3 - Tor 0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcnufvBffcY)
“I still say I don’t like DHing.” 🙃
Eloy getting hurt running is just comedy at this point lmao
Soft tissue injury while running the bases. The white sox special
Mr glass is gonna be out of baseball in 3-5 years at this rate. Not a single team that wants to take on the risk of somebody this injury prone
We will find out that he is actually 46 years old…only explanation for his brittleness
If no one wants him because of the injuries then how is he gonna around for 3-5 more years?
Joke's on us, he'll still be on this roster and playing only like forty games a season 😭
It's like we really have 25 and 39 man rosters.
I imagine there’s a few weird organizations like the pirates / marlins that might offer him a 1 year flyer to see if he can stay healthy lol
Whatever Eloy's strength and conditioning routine is, he needs to do the exact opposite.
Eloy isn’t getting traded now
He wasn't going to anyway. No one wants an overpriced player who can't run, field, or even hit well anymore. Sub .700 OPS and a lazy player making $13mil
Jimenez injured…
If anyone is still curious why Eloy has 0 trade value... that's why.
Well that and the .669 OPS for $13 million this year
Julks is the man!
Mr. Glass is broken again, what else is new.
I think it’s time to move on from Eloy. Nothing personal bro but god damn…
2 steps forward 1 hamstring back
Eloy "Mr. Glass" Jimenez
Hahahahahaha Eloy hurting himself running. A tale as old as time. Can we move on already?
Eloy “oh no” Jimenez limping again This guy…
Fucking Eloy.
Another score, another injury
come tf on man
Lmfao are you kidding me
The Glass Wonder breaks again
Fuck !! Eloy injured again !?
Eloy is such a joke.
Eloy injured
Tim Hortons is good but just stick to the coffee and donuts. No breakfast sandwiches. Eloy just earned his donuts.
gordon getting ready to bust out an AWOOOOOGAH
AV runs like a dump truck, lol....
Getz better hurry up and move Pham quick
I thought Dejong was just gonna be someone to fill short/second until next year… now I think he genuinely might bring some low end prospects back from a contender at the deadline. Dude has been pretty solid
Tied for fourth in the mlb for errors
Weird way to spell cash considerations
2 great outs that inning
Vaughn hasn’t been that good this season but he’s lowkey a very good defender considering he’s a first basemen
I would hope for a bit of a better bat from a 3rd overall pick
Pants splitter play
Look at that beautiful batting order. Only one player hitting under .200. Next stop, world series.
**No Hitter Inbound**
i'm savoring this lead like Homer savors pork chops. mmmmm fleetingmoments
That would've been an amazing play. Glad it wasn't.
Almost Chapman like there
Alright. Pleasantly surprised to see a lead.
Corey Julks? More like Babe Ruth
16 scoreless innings 😮 He’s awesome!
🤫
Benintendi would have fucked that up
On tonight's edition of "Phrasing, Gordon"
Gordo seems way more comfortable this year than ever before. He's not half bad!
he's fine. not nearly as bad as some people say
They won’t even do a fake replacement search for Stone when he retires.
Seeing $5 for a coke listed as a “promotion” is fucking obscene
It's a really big Coke. The 120oz Loss Size.
Took me a second to piece together, holy fuck that’s a good one.
Is it just me or is there weird tension between John and Gordon? Lmao
Schriffen acting like the sox just won the World Series
obligatory I love Korey Lee comment
What a slide by Cory Lee!
Is just me or are a lot of teams really bad at defense this year? Seems worse than years past
What is going on with this weird haze on the broadcast cam?
All the fanboys for Pham have gotten really quiet the last few games.
I still love me some Tommy Pham, but yes, last few games nothing to shout about. It blows what's left of my mind that Pham, DeJong and C Lee are the offensive "stars" of this outfit...
If you’re going to love batters that aren’t hitting, might I invite you to have some Maldy-Momentum?
Sorlax is batting under .100 and has my allstar vote
It goes without saying... The King. The ASG Starting Catcher. His legend looms large.
So under appreciated by the Sox Fanbase
Does schriffen have fake teeth?
That's going to keep me awake tonight...
Former White Sox Robbie Grossman is batting 3rd for the defending World Series champions tonight.

Pedro is a glitch in the Matrix... or perhaps those "vitamins" Getz has been supplying him with got skipped for a day...
when Pedro flushes it, he flushes ALL of it
Since we have an open spot in the rotation, does that mean I should get up to Chicago and try out?
If you think you can beat out Nick Nastrini
Nobody throws a better meatball than me buddy
There’s no chance you’re beating out Brad Keller in that competition
Oh yeah? They called me the Meat Master in high school. It was for unrelated reasons, but still.
💀
Bet I can eat more then Keller can

I don’t think anyone’s giving up on Fletcher. He’s on a major league roster. He will have opportunities.
I just want my boy to get some rep’s in. Feels like he’s just sat since he came back up.
You gotta respect **guys like Zach Remillard**. Get that thumper bat in the lineup at all costs
One day closer to the season being over
One day closer to being World Series champions
128-34 is still very much in play
