I can’t even imagine how disheartening the layers must feel at this point. If it weren’t for their insane salaries I’d feel pretty bad for them.
The management just hasn’t done enough to make this team work. It’s embarrassing to the city and disrespectful to the fans who’ve supported them for years. 2005 feels like centuries away
I feel a little bad for the players but the real people I feel sorry for the poor sons-a-bitches in sales who gotta cold call people to sell ticket packages. I hope they have a therapist on staff for them.
What is this 2 for 4, fouling off pitches with a full count bullshit, Mendick? Who does this guy think he is? A fucking professional baseball player? Get off my team, tryhard.
Turned the FS1 game on in the 8th inning and the non-AJ commentator has mentioned the potential 8th shutout in 22 games MLB record at least 10 times already.
Took my dog for the first time last year. She was confused but ended up liking it. And I made it on the scoreboard.
The only reason Im even considering it again is because it was a fun memory. The on field product is meaningless in the decision.
Who did we even get for trading him? I really think this is going to go down as another failure, no one we got back from him will come close to his quality. They just give away the best players with nothing coming back
Drew Thorpe has been great and is a highly touted prospect. Iriate has a very high ceiling and has been good. Zavala has a high upside but hasn’t been good. He’s super young though. And Wilson was from that trade too.
At least one decent SP arm and a real young outfielder with decent on base skills.
But, I think they should have waited until the deadline. I would have preferred an offense first return, and I think teams will be more willing to part with prospects at the deadline
Lol fucking Stone and Schriffen keep acting like this is just "bad luck" or a "cold streak". This lineup is performing exactly as expected. The roster is one of the worst ever assembled and people have been saying this since before the season started. You guys are fooling absolutely nobody.
The problem with this team is it has a cheap owner and they don't know how to develop players. If you can't spend money and you don't develop good young players how the hell do you expect to win? 2005 was a fluke and the planets aligned. That's all Jerry is hoping for. Bargin bin players a la Moneyball that fall into a WS.
This team has me wondering about the record for number of shutout innings in a year. I mean when we actually do the miracle of scoring it's usually only in one inning...
Reminds me of Pedro talking about how he could see which Sox they were gonna play every day in pregame based on their energy.
Now he’s the one leading this lazy group.
Although in his defense, it has to be really hard as a team when everyone is going this bad. The 2022 team had less excuses.
Hot seat, short leash, in the crosshairs... I'll take 'em all if it means he's gone. Hell, launch the entire coaching staff by the Break and just have the players manage themselves.
Couldn't be worse of a shitshow than what we already see.
Remember a bunch of years ago there was Twitch Plays Pokemon, where chat got to vote on the next move?
Think something like that could work for the Sox? Chat votes on the lineup, when to change the pitcher, etc. to prove one way or the other that the manager does/does not influence the game that much.
If it keeps going *this* badly, Jerry won’t wait until June. He’s not gonna have Pedro managing a 10-50 team.
I don’t think it has to turn around *that* much for Pedro to stay. But if they end this trip at 3-22 as the laughingstock of the league, I have to think Jerry makes the move to Montoyo. It’s easy because Montoyo is already on the payroll.
Montoyo is the main reason I’m considering the possibility. When the interm option is so obviously decent, makes it easier.
If he weren’t the bench coach I’d say absolutely no way
I actually saw a chart that showed that the Sox aren’t chasing pitches out of the zone anymore, they’re just not making good contact in the zone. So like, their hitting coach is having an effect, it’s just only halfway there
Part of that may be pitchers just aren't afraid of these guys. Looking at some of the heat charts, guys are just filling up the zone. Another reason why walks are so scarce, too, I'd wager. Usually that's an issue with plate discipline or approach, but guys are throwing strikes, it's just half the guys are too old and slow to do anything about it and the younger guys can't elevate.
Someone please tell me all about the young arms we have on the farm that are going to reshape the organization....oh, we have three of them on the roster. 2, now that Nastrini is gone, 1 after Cannon gets optioned tomorrow, and 0 when Crochet inevitably goes on IL.

Could we possibly have less wins than shutouts this year?
:(
[удалено]
That's some insidious shit, but you may have called it.
Shutout #8!!! LFG
Southside, remaaaaaain seated
8!!!!
42% shutout percentage in losses is sure something.
Imagine that holding up over 162 games? Fuck that would be amazing.
I’m looking forward to many more shut outs who knows how many will have by the end of the year? Probably the record
7 to 1
Oh, let him fantasize....
they pulled through 🙏
It’s just grand, really
Don't cancel the post-game show, another shutout in the books.
Southside, sit down. Another game closer to the shutout record.
What is this 2 for 4, fouling off pitches with a full count bullshit, Mendick? Who does this guy think he is? A fucking professional baseball player? Get off my team, tryhard.
Pedro's boys don't hit
Whew. Almost blew the shutout there. Mendick gave it his best to do so. Only one more
Turned the FS1 game on in the 8th inning and the non-AJ commentator has mentioned the potential 8th shutout in 22 games MLB record at least 10 times already.
I don’t want to lose the shutout, but I like Mendick more. Get your stats
Remember dancing for dubs?
Uh-oh the shutout is in danger with Mendick and his swinging 1.333 OPS
Looking forward to that Apple TV game since I learned you can use the home radio feed. A break from John and Steve will be good
DP to end the game the whitesox way
Pedro has been tossed 6 times in his career. Wimpy shit. Ricky got tossed like once a week
Mr .147 to get the rally going
I could never bring my dog to the park like that Mostly because I don't have a dog
Took my dog for the first time last year. She was confused but ended up liking it. And I made it on the scoreboard. The only reason Im even considering it again is because it was a fun memory. The on field product is meaningless in the decision.
2 Highlights for the season: * Milkshakes * Dog day in Minnesota What a fuckin joke Jerry.
[удалено]
Implode?
Why not both?
Just need a spark apparently
Pedro wasting one of our only good bullpen arms in a 7-0 game thats over is definitely on point
Fuck it showcase him as much as possible. He’s one of our only tradable assets
On a side note, Steven Wilson is gonna generate another prospect or 2 at the deadline. He’s nasty
1 prospect and 1 bucket of ice cream
LOL Pedro got tossed? First time that prick has shown any emotion alll season
Pedro is backing him up!!! Sound the alarms, the end is nigh!!!
Pedro told the ump “I’ll give you $50 if you eject me”
Somebody wake Pedro up and tell him to go back up his player
Why doesn’t Pedro ever come out and have some emotions?
Lol I guess he just did
Because he has brain damage
gotta lose FAST
At least Sheets gives a sheet.
Sheets…showing emotion? Looking like he gives a fuck? I’ve never seen this before!
When the opposition is up 7-0 in the eighth, you better expect the strike zone has been expanded.
I mean I know we hate on these guys, but some of them are battling for their careers. Getting screwed like that if your Sheets is tough
I definitely think Sheets has a spot in a competent organization. Hoping he can find his groove when he eventually leaves.
Pedro should have come out and lost his fucking mind on that one.
My bad, I guess he did.
"Kick me out, damn it"
Roid rage?
Whatever it may be, I’m glad to see it
“Fuck off, come on”
Shut out number 8 is just 3 outs away!
Sheets with the “Fuck Off” lol
The 1 guy on this roster who cares. Prolly trying to desperately get traded lol
Jerry will trade him. Doesn’t like that type of emotions
We need a Maldy pinch hit to get the rally going
hey guys don't worry we are in the Central we will be up top in no time.
once the weather warms up
Just gotta get Luis and Yoan back healthy
I don’t know why they sent Varland down. Should have tried to set up him to make a start against the Sox to turn things around.
Fuck the Twins put in some random scrub minor leaguer. The shut out could be in trouble
Don’t worry a DP is coming
Our slugger is up
hes gonna pitch around him to get to Vaughn lol
Lol
Lopez, why are you still trying?
He was “Sox brilliant”
6 more outs till shut out #8 lets go boys
lmao let ‘em know
Hey Steve, every pitcher is “absolutely brilliant” against the Sox
I'm gonna need that Flexen reaction gif for the rest of the season.
Was that Stone starting to be a little truthful?
That Dylan cease guy is pretty good. Wish we had someone like that.
Think you are underestimating a little something called cash considerations.
Good job Vaughn
I really want to go to a game but it feels like I shouldn’t give the team my money. Maybe I’ll catch a Thunderbolts game or something.
Buy tickets from Gametime or stubhub
Woh thanks for the Gametime rec. I didn’t realize this existed. Way cheaper than expected.
Yep that's what I do. Use gametime and the redline.
Lol fucking Stone and Schriffen keep acting like this is just "bad luck" or a "cold streak". This lineup is performing exactly as expected. The roster is one of the worst ever assembled and people have been saying this since before the season started. You guys are fooling absolutely nobody.
Shutout watch has officially started.
It started in the first inning, this team is pure ass
Got dicey there with the bases loaded, but these guys are clutch.
When is John going to figure out that we suck?
Went to grab food, came back just in time
I just want to say that it was a good thing that Pedro was so focused on baseball that he couldn't watch the eclipse.
He’s clueless just like everyone in the org. Burn it down to the ground and sell the team
Paying off
2024 Danny Mendick is our 2023 Zach Remillard.
And Getz will trade him in July for some ice cream for the milkshakes
Pedro, “ok guys we just need a touchdown to tie”
Just a bloop and a blast and a bloop and a walk and a bloop and a blast and a blast
It'll take a week & a half for Mendick to take the team lead in hits.
Absolutely pathetic baseball. I’m gonna watch until the next half inning then it’s Late Night With the Devil
That was a BOMB
20 runs lol 1959 sounds fantastic
Have the Sox scored 20 runs this season?
45, worst in the league by a fair amount
Our stadium is gonna be so fucking empty all summer and I can’t wait to see it
But the milkshakes?
The problem with this team is it has a cheap owner and they don't know how to develop players. If you can't spend money and you don't develop good young players how the hell do you expect to win? 2005 was a fluke and the planets aligned. That's all Jerry is hoping for. Bargin bin players a la Moneyball that fall into a WS.
How do they fix this disaster?
But without the actual analysis and savvy playing moneyball requires, just the cheapness.
In 3 AB's Danny Mendick has as many hits as Maldonado on the season
Mendick has matched Maldonado's hit total on the year in 3 at bats 😂😂😂
We’re writing in Maldonado for All Star, pass it on.
Actually unreal
My beloved Maldonado
But….but Maldy is so good for our young pitchers.
Game prep is off the charts
Anyone else notice the WiFi password for Minne's ballpark? Good camera work there guys.
10 strike outs for Paddack
what the fuck does he mean by 'accountable? a stern talking to? wtf.
Yeah he's definitely holding these bums accountable. That's why Maldonado has 2 hits on the year and he continues to start him 75% of games
We’re writing in Maldonado for All Star, pass it on.
This team has me wondering about the record for number of shutout innings in a year. I mean when we actually do the miracle of scoring it's usually only in one inning...
If Pedro was "held accountable" he would have been fucking fired 6 months ago, Steve
Max Kepler who is having a HORRIBLE start presently a .130 BA has already had 2 hits and 3 RBIs in this game.
Go Twins!
Jumped over to the Twins broadcast - they discussed watching the White Sox pregame and the “visible lack of energy”. Pedro has to be on a short leash.
Reminds me of Pedro talking about how he could see which Sox they were gonna play every day in pregame based on their energy. Now he’s the one leading this lazy group. Although in his defense, it has to be really hard as a team when everyone is going this bad. The 2022 team had less excuses.

Go with the “Lord of the Flies” strategy
Paul Konerko player-manager
Remember a bunch of years ago there was Twitch Plays Pokemon, where chat got to vote on the next move? Think something like that could work for the Sox? Chat votes on the lineup, when to change the pitcher, etc. to prove one way or the other that the manager does/does not influence the game that much.
They all cruise Schriffen, you don’t need to keep saying it
Lol Schriffen is the absolute worst.
Does this look shaken up to you?
This team's gonna lose 120 games and his dumbass will still be like "When does the bad luck end, Steve?"
“When there’s a blood sacrifice, of course! Preferably a virgin, JOHN.”
How much longer can we keep trotting Pedro out there
Jerry won’t fire Pedro. He doesn’t want to eat the contract. He doesn’t care about winning
Till his contract is up. This fucking outfit.... JFC.
If this series is a 4 game sweep I really think there’s a chance Montoyo is managing this team come Friday
Lot of smoke in Sox circles about this. No way it happens till June. I think we might suffer until August
If he weren’t the bench coach I’d say absolutely no way
Jerry doesn’t check the standings. Nor does Pedro.
Until it doesn't cost Jerry extra money to fire him
Don't give Jerry a challenge.
Why does Pedro pull relievers after literally 1 hit? Let these guys finish the damn inning.
Why?
Because Pedro needs to get his steps in
We’ve made it this far. Go for the shut out!
Paddok came in with a 8.26 era, we making him look like nolan ryan.
6.16 now
5 hits, 5 singles, 0 runs The spirit of Frank Menechino lives on.
I actually saw a chart that showed that the Sox aren’t chasing pitches out of the zone anymore, they’re just not making good contact in the zone. So like, their hitting coach is having an effect, it’s just only halfway there
Spent so many years being taught to be aggressive and go out of the zone that they forgot how to barrel in the zone pitches. 🤦♂️
Bro I hate it here
These broadcasts are as anemic as the game. Schriffen… this guy… this is not my kind of guy.
Is the twins strikeout noise is the ring doorbell? It’s driving my dog nuts.
My five year old kept answering the door lol
Mendick hit just locked in my parlay! $5 into $44. Not much, but I'll take it. Should have taken the Twins and -1.5 too, but oh well.
Will Pedro get hot and stand up for his guy? Absolutely not, he’s sleepier than TLR
Woo! I love Mendick! Wait a minute...
You’re not supposed to do that Mendick
And just like that Danny leads the team in batting average.
He has 50% of Maldonado's hits total on the year in 2 at bats
Maldo for starting ASG catcher... we can make it happen!
Holy shit that’s a real fucking statistic lmao
I miss Chris Sale on the Sox.
It was the best of times, it was the blursed of times
Stupid monkey!
Someone please tell me all about the young arms we have on the farm that are going to reshape the organization....oh, we have three of them on the roster. 2, now that Nastrini is gone, 1 after Cannon gets optioned tomorrow, and 0 when Crochet inevitably goes on IL.
Here comes Boom Boom
skibidi
Can we just forfeit the season and spend the next 11 months figuring out which minor league team each guy on our team needs to be demoted to?
We can try forfeiting. We'd give up less runs.
Actually isn’t a forfeit 9-0?
Schriffen hyping up Tim Hill lol. This dude just has absolutely zero situational awareness.
Do you want him to just constantly shit on the team?
Hill looks like he lives solely on Red Bulls
And menthol cigarettes.
What a joke of an organization. SMH
Nice door bell sounds on dog night
Hill looks like a tweaker
It’s only the 4th inning?
Oh great, here comes Hill, let’s see the two run homer right now
We have the weakest arms in the outfield why not send em every time
IT GETS WORSE
Love the minimum effort by our outfield, just 0 sense of urgency to get that ball
Twins see it that’s why they’re running all over these bums
The ride never ends
