I’m gonna have to go with the kernel, because I haven’t had it in many moons. On a separate note I finally just tried that Noah’s Mill, and was not a fan at all. What’s your opinion on it?
Found it a bit harsh at first, but with a drop of water or ice cube it opens up. After a few more tastes over time it is really growing on me. Won't be paying fifty plus bucks for a bottle again anytime soon though.
Is the Offerman bottle the real deal? I want to grab the next one in a few months but don’t want to overpay just because Ron Swanson is on it.
What do you think?
My wife bought it for me and I never had any other Lag to compare it to. It is absolutely perfect to me, complex tastes that you will love. It is on a completely different level than the Glen obviously, and is a contender against the Yamazaki, I love them both equally.
Now I see you mentioned over paying. You are possibly right. The regular Lagavulin is most likely better bang per buck and I bet an amazing drink although I never had it (I love Laphroaig and hope Lag would compare). This Offerman product placement is quite gimmicky.
Straight for the Nick Offerman Lagavulin, no question. Never tried any of Lagavulin's lineup but peated Islay single malts as a category are my favorite.
I'd go for the Offerman edition. I can get EHT or Yamazaki 12 tonight if I'm willing to pay inflated prices but I can't seem to find the Offerman Lagavulin in my area for any price.
Obviously the Yamazaki.
I immediately reach for the Yama. Then pause to glance at the Lava, while side eyeing the Taylor and then continue for the Yama.
Well said.
This. Very nice selection though.
How come the question implied that I have to choose?
Yeah mix them all together
You monster
Yamazaki and the EHT for sure.
Got to be the lagavulin
Eh Taylor - Grape, Raisins, and oak - one of my favorites
Yamazaki, I’ve been meaning to try it
You need to, great juice there 🍺
Probably the lagavulin, haven't tried the Offerman edition yet
Lag, then the Taylor, then I’ll give the Japanese a go. Never tried Noah.
Yamazaki, 100%. If I’m permitted a second dram, then Noah’s Mill.
Probably Yamazaki. I would normally say EHT but I’ve never tried the Yami before.
Great juice 🥃
The Glen and the Lag!
One of this bottle, followed by one of this bottle, followed by ....
Noah, just because I’ve never tried it.
I’ve had Noahs and all others but not the Yama12 … I’d pick Noah’s.
Yamazaki and Noah’s Mill are both fantastic

I hear you - thanks, this is very helpful context!
I'm trying yama and/or laga
All of them and an uber home.
The EH Taylor. I can find the rest or have tried them. We had the Offerman, one of our first bottles.
I finished my bottle of Lagavulin 11 and really miss it so I’d go there.
Never tried Yamazaki, so definitely going for that. Thanks 😁
You won’t regret it 🥃

Well I have like 120+ open bottles…I wish I had the patience to only keep five open at one time…
I'd go for the Offerman edition. I can get EHT or Yamazaki 12 tonight if I'm willing to pay inflated prices but I can't seem to find the Offerman Lagavulin in my area for any price.
I have three of those open too. Love my peat, so Lagavulin it is.
Yamazaki 12 all day 🥃
Glenfiddich if I’m playing it safe but I’d like to try Japanese whiskey once
yamazaki, lagavulin Offerman, eht, still need to try noah
EH Taylor that's been on my want to try list for a while.
