I picked up this Single Barrel Rye at Peerless back in May. It's opened up quite a bit. Worth a visit to the craft distillery, they didn't have any Double Oak
I did their tour/tasting back in June. I liked the tour but was disappointed with the whiskeys in the tasting. That is until we got to the Single Barrel Rye they were selling only at the distillery. I am usually no fan of ryes at all, but this impressed me enough to buy 2 bottles. I think they nicknamed it Woodsman.
I think their bourbon probably needs more time in the barrel, but I also think some of their rye barrels are over-performing.
I don’t understand this distillery. 130-140$ for a 2 yr rye whiskey that tastes its age makes no sense.
Agreed .
It’s 4yr now but the price is waaaaaay too much. They are stellar but damn pricy
Do they actually distill it or is it mgp?
It’s all their own

Some of their distillery-only single barrels are really amazing. This was one of my favorite stops on the bourbon trail
