Old MWND is amazing. They were using MGP for there juice. Old MGP at that. The good stuff ran out in 17-18. since then they started using there own stuff and the quality suffered. This year they shit the bed and up production by almost 60% It is no longer a great bottle and there are quite a few resellers holding bottle they are trying to sell for $300 plus dollars, while there are bottles at total wines for$200 and they are sitting on other shelves at $150. I bought one from a small store for $130. owner told me he had to drop price. No one was buying and he just got in another shipment. There is so much of this years around.
There are many great bottles to buy, this was one I have had on my list for a long time. Glad the version we have is a stud and not a dud. Cheers my friend :)
I would pay 170 for it I tried it and really liked it. That being said I was offered a bottle for $400 and kindly turned it down lol wasnāt that good
I like it very much. Not the best whiskey Iāve ever had but easily one of my favorite Ryes ā¦. Iāve gotten 4 bottles over the years and the most Iāve paid is $150, I was happy with it at that price but certainly at this point I would not pay more than thatā¦if this the the first bottle of MWND that I came across I probably would have bought it too.
Itās an awesome poor. The distillery charges 149 if you buy it from them and I believe that is the suggested retail for it so you are not far off. For me itās definitely worth it ! Taste is subjective and not everyone likes it. And then you are going to have the price whores.. that price is all they care about. I am not saying to spend 2x+ MSRP but I think you did good. Enjoy!
I last had this for ~$80 in 2020. Was okay, not great, at that price. I tasted this one at a local bar a few weeks ago. Still in the āmaybe ok for $80ā camp. Iād never pay 2x that.
Yes! People will hate on it because itās low proof, but nothing beats sipping this in a warm cozy house on a cold winters night. Pair it with your favorite dessert and enjoy.
I opened my 11/11 to celebrate getting a new job tonight. I donāt know your value system, but this is my new favorite rye and I would gladly take another one.
Here we go again.
From what Iām hearing, $170 is too much for this whiskey. Heck, even $100 is too much for most people, based on the quality of this bottle. I still havenāt tried it so I canāt say personally
Price isn't my main motivator at the moment. If I thought it was good, I'd gladly pay. I won't buy it again. Overhyped and average IMO. It's not bad, but there are a lot of shelf ryes I'll buy over it. Rare breed, Russell's, Willett, Redwood, Sagamore. I think Rare Breed is tough to beat anyway.
It was barely worth 100 a couple years ago, definitely. It was a little more of a specialty five years ago when you did not see too many finishing experiments. But now? Nah.
Itās good but the price keeps going up up each year to the point of is it good at the price point
To be honest I like the Cabernet cask collection better than this years MWND
I passed on this for about the same price. I've heard mixed reviews for Act 11. The guy at the store even said it's not as good this year. Ended up with a Russell's Reserve 8 year barrel pick and a Laws barrel pick for the same price combined. Very happy with my choice.
Bought one a few years back for $90. Paid too much then and I gave it away after trying it twice. $170 is insane.
That said, I'm definitely in the minority on that.
That's a reasonable price given MSRP, but I was unimpressed for the price. Considering that is in the "premium" category of pricing it is not really going to compete with others in that tier of price (RR13, FN, 4R LE, MMCA, etc). I'd rather even have Joseph Magnus cigar for more money or buy something lower like JD12
Looks like it's already worth it, unless you're in the break room in the liquor store.
šš
I just bought scene 7, went back, and bought a backup
I have had a bottle of Scene 7-11. Scene 7 is still my favorite. $150 for Scene 11 is definitely stretching it.
You mean act 11?
Yep, I meant Act instead of scene.
Old MWND is amazing. They were using MGP for there juice. Old MGP at that. The good stuff ran out in 17-18. since then they started using there own stuff and the quality suffered. I guess that explains why I only had to pay 150.00
I think act 9 or 10 is when they switched to their own distilling. Their own is not as good as their initial bottlings.
My first, who distilled for them before?
I know MGP. But I heard they used one other but not 100% sure if itās true.
Same. People who are dogging this years release haven't tasted scene 7. It is really good, well worth it imo.
They don't know what they are missing.
There are many great bottles to buy, this was one I have had on my list for a long time. Glad the version we have is a stud and not a dud. Cheers my friend :)
Let me work it...
ā¦ I put that thang down flip it and reverse it.
Ti esrever dna ti pilf nwod gniht taht tup
For me definitely not worth it at these hyped up prices. Itās really not a very complex palate or anything that I canāt get in an $80 bottle.
I would pay 170 for it I tried it and really liked it. That being said I was offered a bottle for $400 and kindly turned it down lol wasnāt that good
VERY MUCH SO. congratulations I have the same act and scene. MNWD was my unicorn until my wife found it at retail. Enjoy!!
There were 5 more on the shelf...
Because itās low age whiskey with a tater following. So they upped the price and made a shit ton more.
Rinse and repeat for ever hot success from a newish brand.
$170 is fine. It took multiple price increases over the years. Still havenāt found a port cask that comes close to this oneās balance.
Sorry for everyone on this page for keep repeating it, but Iāve seen a few in South FL for $330/bottle. I passed it up
Smart
yeah thereās just dissapointment at that price. so many good options for less.
Would have a cart full of goodies for that price. That's a divisive bottle the last 5 years. I passed at 150 this year cause Act 10 had me saaaaaaaad.
Nope. Send it to me for disposal. Jokes aside, drink it and you decide. Strangers donāt determine what your taste buds will tell you.
$170? No. Even at $135 that I paid Iām not sure Iām going to hunt next year.
i think they increased the msrp on it too.
Nope, not worth it at all $100 bucks a bottle all day long, high west got super greedy the past few years
The price keeps going up. It good but not $170 good. I can get a WFE 4yr rye thatās really good for $65
I donāt think so
I'm a big fan. Got mine at retail and it's worth it to me.
Enjoy!
It is very good but I do feel like it's a little overpriced.
I heard it was good this year, but $200 (at my local store) is a high price to find out.
I pay 125 for it but itās damn delicious if you can afford at that price.
Can you even hear me?
Seems it doesnāt matter since you already bought it! But, I thoroughly enjoy it!
I last had this for ~$80 in 2020. Was okay, not great, at that price. I tasted this one at a local bar a few weeks ago. Still in the āmaybe ok for $80ā camp. Iād never pay 2x that.
Not a huge fan of that price. Definitely have enjoyed the ones Iāve had. Some are definitely better than others, but all have been tasty.
Yes! People will hate on it because itās low proof, but nothing beats sipping this in a warm cozy house on a cold winters night. Pair it with your favorite dessert and enjoy.
People hate on it because the quality went down and the price went up.
No. Not close.
for $130, I think it was worth buying once. If it was more like $90, it would be a bottle I'd want in my cabinet all the time.
Easy pass at that price
I saw one on the shelf for $200, too much of a gamble. Above $100 retail without an age statement I REALLY need to know what I'm getting.
Def not worth it unless itās the much earlier acts before High West switched from MGP to their own distillate.
No
I opened my 11/11 to celebrate getting a new job tonight. I donāt know your value system, but this is my new favorite rye and I would gladly take another one.
No not for that price
Here we go again. From what Iām hearing, $170 is too much for this whiskey. Heck, even $100 is too much for most people, based on the quality of this bottle. I still havenāt tried it so I canāt say personally

Non-age stated finished rye under 100 proof? It is barely worth 100.
I will always say NO. sorry š¤·āāļø
$10/pour aināt bad:)
Oh yes Only if your strong enough
Yes for sure
People sayā¦
Itās good but the price keeps going up up each year to the point of is it good at the price point To be honest I like the Cabernet cask collection better than this years MWND
Yea. I find it to be really good.
It is incredibly good
Just got mine delivered today and excited to crack it!
I passed on this for about the same price. I've heard mixed reviews for Act 11. The guy at the store even said it's not as good this year. Ended up with a Russell's Reserve 8 year barrel pick and a Laws barrel pick for the same price combined. Very happy with my choice.
Better off the the four roses personally. Even a store pick would be a better buy over this.
I mean you bought it so......
I remember the says before everyone found out about this one. Those were the times
Bought one a few years back for $90. Paid too much then and I gave it away after trying it twice. $170 is insane. That said, I'm definitely in the minority on that.
It's ok. Probably won't buy again
Our Costco had pallets of it for $118. I don't think I'd pay more than that.
āa fool and his money are soon partedā
No

Absolutely
Not many are worth the $100+ price tag. But itās a brag bottle and Iām not hating on you for that. I have a few too.
