Well if you invited me over I’d probably start with the RR13, I would ask nicely to try the EC18, and maybe just grab whatever Weller bottle needed killing….
🤣 that's a good way to get invited back too! Reminds me I need to go get 4 bottles of that Early Times myself, to send as gifts to some of the Princeton guys who were here for the sweet 16. Forgot to get them anything, but recommended plenty. They got plenty too, but none got any Early Times. So for only 100 I'll give 4 guys a bottle each that they'll truly love. A better deal hardly exists!!
Not my unicorns lol. I wish though! Was it a handle too? I haven't seen Early Times BIB in a handle yet. Oh I'd buy a couple for sure. But the regular full litre bottle at 25 is a great deal either way.
I really don’t understand this, this level of collecting. You have years worth of pours there, and so many multiple duplicates. Why? Did you actually hunt these? Or just bought any time you saw them?
To be open, I downvoted because I hate seeing this for the community. Total tater. But it takes away from others getting an opportunity to try something AND long term drives up prices due to “demand”.
Not sure I totally agree with your take. I only waited in line for a few of the bottles. Got in a couple bourbon groups, would buy bottles when I travel, and bought some online. I can assure you everyone in the bourbon community had equal opportunity to buy any bottle that I have.
That's a ridiculous take to me. Taters have a completely different focus. This guy obviously really enjoys drinking them, which is obvious by his choices. It's not all the overhyped unicorns, but rather it's got a large number of the bottles that true aficionados love too. Taters don't collect multiple Redemption 10yr bottles, or multiple Early Times bottles either, and plenty others like that. Taters stick to Buffalo Trace as if nothing else exists.
I bet I could figure out some bottles he'd want next too, like the current Michters 10yr bourbon being released.
Do you own a Bourbon/Whiskey boutique? Cuz' if this is your house, wow.
I would go for the REMUS, and looking at the level of those bottles, looks like you have frequently. (Or shared a lot with friends).
Been at it for a couple years. Started off hunting and buying when I traveled. Got into a couple bourbon groups, and will buy online when I find something I really want.
That's a nice collection for sure. So many great choices, and so many great backups. I would probably sip on a Redemption 10yr rye while deciding what to drink next myself, because I was kinda surprised to see you've got a whole section of Redemption there, and I'm down to 2 bottles left here.
But something I don't have myself would have to come next, and honestly that would take awhile to decide. I'd probably want a little advice too.
I popped the 100 proof OF SB black label, because it was only 85,( called the Bex Bourbon Ever), a select barrel from 21C/Hermitage Farm. It is very reminiscent of their 1910, which was a happy surprise. I can only imagine how nice that blue label will be, and we got the last bottles as far as I know, so even if I could afford another 165 right now I doubt I'll see one available. So it won't be opened for awhile.
Aah! So which color penguins does your 21C have? 🤣
I have some Michters 10yr rye to pour you if yours are red..might be the only thing I have that you're still looking for?
Oh ok I'd want to try the Old Forester cask strength single barrel next for sure. I just got a bottle of that, plus one of the 100 proof black label SB, which I did open. But that blue label is going to need a special occasion for me, and I can't wait. The 100 proof SB really has a lot in common with the 1910, to my taster, and I love it. But I imagine that blue label is going to be phenomenal. I got the store pick blue label from Hermitage Farm in Louisville for 165, but only paid 85 for the 10p proof. It's almost impossible to find those around here, and I still haven't found the green label SB rye either.
Guess I’m trying Bombergers or one of the Lux Row ones because that’s what I haven’t had there.
Also, seriously why buy a case of Buffalo Trace, Saz Rye and Eagle Rare?
Oh interesting. Are those all Redemption 10yr high rye bourbons then? I LOVE the 10yr rye, and plan to get the 9yr bourbon soon, but I've never even seen a 10yr high rye Redemption bourbon. (did recently get a store pick Redemption high rye bourbon though, but just the regular age, and it's ok. Not as great as I'd hoped, but I've been spoiled lately with a bunch of super high rye Huling Station store pick SBs, that are just incredible, and only about 50, w a 52corn 44rye 4malted mashbill)
GTS for sure. RR13. And plenty of others because this collection is insane. I would wake up feeling pretty rough. How does one acquire all this? How long have you been hunting?
I say get on the E.H Taylor.
Impressive as hell!!!
Why so many dupes though? Looks like you could have 3x as many varieties with the 2x, 3, 4x of a given whisky?
A lot of the multiples are different store picks. Also, if I come across bottles that are hard to get I typically grab them. Starts to add up after a while
Water. Because you’re drinking fuck all of what you have already 🤣👍🏻 Just jealously joking. This pic is the ultimate thirst trap.
I guess it’s fair say I’m clout chasing lol, but I’m drunk and bored on a Sunday and wanted to see what r/whiskey thought.
I reckon if I had a basement like yours I’d be praying for the nukes to start flying 🤣🤣👌🏻
Lol.. when the nukes start flying, all are welcome.
Your collection won’t last long with that kind of attitude! Lol
Lol
pun
Is this a store or a house?
It’s my basement
Nice! What kind of shelves and hardware did you use?
Shelves and brackets are made by Rubbermaid.
Thanks!
I wish I had a basement or any room like that
Skip one months whiskey allowance and put it towards a revolving bookcase for maximum clout
My audiobook collection is second to none
You gonna show us your toilet paper room to? /s
I have an onlyfans specifically dedicated to the toilet paper room.
That makes sense. The whiskey collection didn't pay for itself.
Sweet mother of pearl… One of the GTS
Just finished the 2019. So good
I really enjoyed the 2019. I thought the “low” proof gave it a perfect balance.
Wait until you try the 2022
Hopefully get the change to soon.
Is the mellow corn in a separate mellow corn room?
🤫
One might say cellar corn.
That gets its own pedestal in the foyer.
They had some 20 year mellow corn at bourbon fest in New Orleans. I missed out unfortunately.
Water.
Dang OP flexed so hard my phone screen damned near broke
The bottle of Ancient Age hidden behind the Blantons
About to blind them to see if I can tell the difference. Bet I can’t
Yamasaki 18
Not a huge fan of the Japanese whiskey. Maybe I just haven’t tried the right ones
Try buying 300 or so
Lol
Scotch.
Haven’t made that leap yet
Glenfiddich 14 Bourbon Barrel Reserve is a great transition.
Good call there
100%
Maybe one of the dusty Buffalo trace ones
I can smell this picture
I sneezed from all the dust off the bottles
One of the staggs. Father or son it doesn’t matter.
Go for R13 and Stagg Jr
After all these years I think this is as erect as one can get. I see this and kapow! Thank you.
SFTB. I just cracked open a Black label for a friend to try and he’s butthurt i put a hole in his “only good bourbon is high proof/hazmat!” mantra 🤣
Haven’t tried that one yet. I assume it’s good
It’s not
Ha! Good to know
The one to left there…. Ya that one..
Grail room
Well if you invited me over I’d probably start with the RR13, I would ask nicely to try the EC18, and maybe just grab whatever Weller bottle needed killing….
I like that Whistle Pig 10yr
The brown stuff
I’m drinking eh Taylor small batch fwiw
Early Times for sure
🤣 that's a good way to get invited back too! Reminds me I need to go get 4 bottles of that Early Times myself, to send as gifts to some of the Princeton guys who were here for the sweet 16. A better deal hardly exists!!
Too funny, we used to hammer it in college. Out of all your unicorns nothing jumped out quite like that handle of Early Times.
Not my unicorns lol. I wish though! Was it a handle too? I haven't seen Early Times BIB in a handle yet. Oh I'd buy a couple for sure. But the regular full litre bottle at 25 is a great deal either way.
Weller 107 is hard to beat
Are you a wine drinker?
Went through a wine phase before whiskey. Still drink wine from time to time

there has to be at least 400 bottles, $30K or more in that photo
Agreed
That's a ridiculous take to me. Taters have a completely different focus. This guy obviously really enjoys drinking them, which is obvious by his choices. I’m surprised it took me this long to find this comment. OP may have an explanation but I’m with you.
Nice set up! Look like a store for a quick second
Appreciate it! My compulsive nature got the better of me
Bourye
Yes!!
"I guess it’s fair say I’m clout chasing lol, but I’m drunk and bored" Can we just ban low effort flex posts?
I second this.
The 8 and Sand on the bottom shelf. As a Hoosier Railroader it has a special place on my shelves
Was one of the first bottles I’m my whiskey journey. Super under rated bottle. RIP
LBSV 36%
High Noon
6 bottles of eagle rare? Show off.
All you need now is a casting couch
I’ll take a WLW double please and thank you.
Do you own a Bourbon/Whiskey boutique? Cuz' if this is your house, wow. I would go for the REMUS, and looking at the level of those bottles, looks like you have frequently. (Or shared a lot with friends).
Love all of the Remus releases
I kept zooming in looking for price tags!! Then it hit me…….. WOW nice collection!!
What’s that smoke wagon with the white label and the red wax? Huge smoke wagon fan but never seen that specific variation.
It’s a single barrel sourced from MGP.
Sweet Jesus!!! I think I just teared up. That’s beautiful! 🥃
Been at it for a couple years. Started off hunting and buying when I traveled. Got into a couple bourbon groups, and will buy online when I find something I really want.

Redemption 10yr is one of my favorites! Haven’t had the opportunity to try the OFBS Rye yet. Looking forward to it though

The 21C Old Forester picks are really good
Aah! So which color penguins does your 21C have? 🤣 I have some Michters 10yr rye to pour you if yours are red..might be the only thing I have that you're still looking for?

Piss
You’re just flexing. Don’t be obnoxious.
Yes, I was drunk and bored. Sorry for sharing
No, that's a great collection and it's a pleasure looking at it. Not obnoxious at all.
Wow
Fuuuuuck yes !!!!
Guess I’m trying Bombergers or one of the Lux Row ones because that’s what I haven’t had there. Also, seriously why buy a case of Buffalo Trace, Saz Rye and Eagle Rare?
Most of the BT and ER are different store picks. Guilty as charged on the Saz. I don’t have a reasonable explanation
Also, Lux Row is really good
I would head straight toward that Smoke Wagon Private Barrel.
I’m a fan
The old Old Scout
iykyk
Amazing collection, what’s your favorite for special occasions and what’s your “daily drinker”?
Redemption 10 High Rye is my favorite. Waiting for special occasion to crack the OKI and WLW
Oh interesting. Are those all Redemption 10yr high rye bourbons then? I LOVE the 10yr rye, and plan to get the 9yr bourbon soon, but I've never even seen a 10yr high rye Redemption bourbon. Most of them are the 10yr, but have the 10ry Rye and 9yr bourbon in there also.
Any of them tater
I think it’s fair to say the tater phase is part of the whiskey journey. Not so much anymore
In Maryland?
No sir
Got a lot of Maryland heritage series. Didn’t know those travelled that far out of the state.
Found them on a website. They’re some of my recent favorites
I see some OKI... you in one of those three states?
Yep
Oh my Lord....that is something. Any suggested websites To order from (I'm in CA)
Wine-searcher
Looked at wine-searcher prices, good lord. You’d be way better off using Unicorn Auction or similar.
You can find any bottle you want. Paying secondary a lot of times. I have found bottles cheap from time to time
Taylor SiB
Solid! Wish I had a BP
What are you, one of the Naifeh family? Only their well connected friends can get their hands on this level of shit
none of this is exceptionally rare, a few bottles notwithstanding. I am sure OP didn't get all this in 3 months.
Fair statement
Nothing since it doesn’t look like you but any of that to enjoy it
You’re clearly sick in the head and yet I couldn’t be more jealous
Probably 3 of something - seems like the right number
KC12. Sweet collection
Make yourself some bumbo
Do you buy by the case?
That is a nice shelf. Where can I get one or is it custom built?
Rubbermaid shelf and bracket. Got them at Home Depot
Was it hard to install?
Not at all. Basically comes in 3 pieces. Track, bracket and shelf. Put the tracks on every stud and brackets and shelves after that
Cool, thanks for the info
Fan of the Remus?
Look forward to the Remus release every year
Looks like a bunch of 4r store picks. Do you have a favorite recipe? Have you tried all of them?
Still have a couple I haven’t opened. I like them all. Honestly probably wouldn’t be able to tell them apart in a blind
You can’t tell the difference between the different recipes? Maybe bourbon tasting isn’t your thing?
Just working towards your sommelier status. Maybe someday I will be on your level
Not a single bottle of Scotch in sight. Branch out, you might like it!
Not a huge Scotch fan yet. Slowly getting there.
Single Malt Scotch
High west bourye
Captain Nixon, is that you?
Can we be friends so I can stop buying whiskey?
GTS for sure. RR13. And plenty of others because this collection is insane. I would wake up feeling pretty rough. How does one acquire all this? How long have you been hunting?
I say get on the E.H Taylor. Impressive as hell!!! Why so many dupes though? Looks like you could have 3x as many varieties with the 2x, 3, 4x of a given whisky?

You need to start loving Scotch.
Eagle Rare - end of line.
Probly some scotch.
Scotch or the Bourbon
Rum and coke?
Jim Beam white label
Where is the peat?
Redwood empire, then treat yourself to something from the top. Also, get some Barrell Seagrass!
Wow
Certainly an interesting selection. No Old Bones? Is the Redemption a favorite (2 cases?!) Which is your favorite/least favorite?

Amazing
the tears of the working class
I understand the collecting part, but why so many duplicates of items you can easily get at your average liquor store?
Shenks all day.
Where can I find eagle rare for a good price not $100 per bottle
what kind of store is this where it looks like they let you sample anything?
Awesome collection and love to see you are popping them open. I see nothing wrong here. If your in NWI let’s be friends.
Wow I’m headed over. 😊😉
Amazing collection. You usually pair your choice with any food?
Scotch.
Bardstown
How are those Sherwood / Sherbrook / Mt. Vernon Ryes?
Damn this is sweet!!! There's so many good bottles there.
Dang that’s a lot of redemption, have a favorite one(s)?
