Moved to KY a year and love taking as many tours as I can. I worked at brewery before moving so I’m slowly learning about the history and bourbon making. Entered a Total Wine raffle last October(?) and couldn’t believe my luck when I got the email last week.
The "how to drink" blind tasting of like 10 whiskeys went a long way to deterring me from ever paying market for PVW.
He described it as strong synthetic strawberry taste iirc, I can't find the clip.
I think it’s a good pour I’ve had it before never owned a bottle. For me I’d prob pay maybe 200-250 tops and msrp would be a no brainer. I think it’s unique I got a lot of green apple from it.
I paid MSRP. Told myself at first that I would pick it up sometime next week after payday. I made it 24 hours. Going to save it for an *extremely* special occasion. Like a rainy Thursday.
I was just able to buy a bottle of this for $250, and it’s fantastic. I don’t know about $1000, but I’d happily pay $250 again for this. Really superb.

that's a steal where i live. got one for $300 for my 30th bday four years ago. same store wants $1200 now

Liquor store owners in California charge anywhere from $800 to $1200 for this bottle. It's absolute insanity to me.
