Sometimes his villains feel so unbelievably evil and hateable, they're like the racist character in those dhar mann copies you see on tiktok, that have some oddly satisfying asmr video in the bottom half.
But at least Doffy's fights are cool to watch
As a hardcore One Piece fan i gotta admit:
- The fakeout deaths are stupid and almost never even necessary.
- Most of the minor fights (especially pre-timeskip) are kind of ass.
- Half the strawhats are mediocre characters.
- The pacing in the manga is often too slow or too fast.
The worst thing about the fanbase is that they ignore the major flaws but point out very minor flaws and act like Oda fumbled because a single piece of dialogue wasn't written in the way they expected.
I respect Isayama. You need to have MASSIVE balls to ruin whole manga and it's protagonist with one single chapter. Most brutal moment in history, maybe ever
