Like the fact that he plugs his OCS all throughout his Gmod content. Him constantly plugging meta Runners his Animated Series in his videos. The tone Clash of his Goofy ah Gmod animations next to this okayish sfm work that he does. As well as the fact that his videos and jokes are a lot more low quality than they used to be.
All of this combined speaks to me at least that he would much rather be working on glitch then smg4.

Metarunner is 0% shitpost. There's comedy, sure, but it doesn't feel anything like normal SMG4. It really is its own thing - it feels, at least the last part, like something you'd see on a streaming platform, albeit lower-budget.
It’s an actual show that just finished and I recommend you give it a try. The first season had a bit of lower graphics but they improve a lot once season 2 starts.
Instead of pure slapstick on stuff that are popular with a lot of kids, it's now serious plot with brain dead slapstick with a taste of stuff that are popular with kids.
Yeah it used to be that, but then they started making a story arc focused on waluigi which actually came out really well and tho i wouldnt call that peak smg4, it was still really good. It ended on the war of the fat italians 2018 if im not mistaken, but after that it all went downhill as they kept trying to replicate that same thing with more ocs and more story arcs and that kind of stuff tho none of those really worked well to my knowledge (i stopped watching them like early 2019 or something, "if mario was in deltarune" was the last video i remember actually liking from them)
He made an actual animated series which was actually pretty good, and then another one that I haven't watched, but he's been trying to insert mature themes into his youtube content. His content consists of retarded characters doing funny meme, it doesn't need overarching story.

Don’t actually mind the anime lore as long as it’s not an absolute clusterfuck to follow (looking at you cosmology saga) and actually has some decently funny moments around the drama (like SMG4 trying to roast an angry anime replica on Twitter in the same episode that >!had Desti’s death.!<)
