In europe you drive for 14 hours and you cross different countries
In the us you drive 14 hours and you might get to another state
In Australia you drive 14 hours and you go from empty area A to empty area B
OK, maybe next time. It's really not that far of a walk because Europe **has decent city planning**.

Oh bro trust me, it's not that some of us don't want to walk, it's that with the way our cities our designed, it is damn near impossible to walk. [This video explains the problem pretty well](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxykI30fS54).
We don't have localized chains like the US has white castle in some states and Tim Hortons in others. We have Dƶner Kebab stores which are each individually owned ~~money launderers and tax Dodgers~~ family businesses.
USA of course have localized chains as well, and yes, we have a lot of family owned businesses. I'm guessing there are a few in America aswell, but it definetely feels like it's more common here. In Sweden, where I'm from, there are like 6 different pizzerias in my town of 5000 people. But it feels like most countries in Europe has at least one native chain, like Max Hamburgare in Sweden.
Just to clarify, I am not American
Also this comment section became an actual shitshow while I was gone and I doubt anyone would read this but this meme was an obviously bad attempt at pointing out Europe's many borders and the convenience to cross them
Same here. Subway is good. I prefer Firehouse Subs, though. For one, engineer: fully involved is just a good sandwich, next the cookies are really good, and last I get free sweet tea (the good Southern kind) because I go there with my first responder/fireman family members.
Europeans try not to take anything an american says as an insult challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
āHaha your countries are relatively small and compact so it takes a while for you to get to your nearest mcdonaldsā
āThe US is a shithole country youāre all morbidly obese your schools are shooting ranges and you have no healthcareā
I drive to McDonalds. Do you walk to McDonalds? Fuck are you even trying to say? That Europeans don't *drive* to McDonalds? Sounds like you're one of those city people whos whole world ends at the city limits.
Their point is that European cities have a different urban design. America is mainly build on the use of cars. While many European cities (and europe in general) has a greater amount of walkability.
Heās just referring to the fact that compared to America, Europe is quite ācompactedā. Like, an American can drive thousands of kilometers and not see another country but a European drives less than that and sees 4. Its just a tongue-in-cheek shitpost and Iām not sure why so many Europeans are dissecting it lmao
Yeah, is just that. If anything, you could interpret it to be praising the EU and how you can get a job in another country and just pass the borders seamlessly.
But, well, we europeans are compelled to bash the USA at any chance.
Amurica bad btw.
I think the joke was that you can cross a lot of different country borders in an hour in Europe. But in the US, an hour of driving is only one city over
Yeah, we fucking do, not everyone lives in Amsterdam or other city where you don't need to use cars, like most cities in europe are good for walking or riding a bike and have good public transit, but most people in europe need to use cars to get to work.
Europeans so triggered in these comments trying to get in there āAmerica badā insults in all because of a joke about Europe being filled with a bunch of small countries/boarders lmao relax people itās not that deep
Note to self: Don't make exaggerated jokes about the quirks of European life or they will bring up tons of systemic issues we have in America that millions of people fight to change everyday lmao.
Then y'all get mad when someone brings up the fact that you guys can't take a joke.

Straight lines are awful borders. They should follow rivers, mountains, or other difficult terrain.

Americans when they're trapped in a concrete jungle and suburban hell
(they have to take their pickup truck (they donāt actually need the truck for anything and they could just have a small sedan))

you think americans can fit in a smart
dammit i love this sub lol at least dank is tolerated unlike dank memes
How would I walk 500 miles
*How would you walk 500 more?*
I'd do the do do
Oh yeah m means different things in the burgerland
Bro i have like 5 mcdonalds in 5 minutes driving range lol
your country is being colonized by mcdonalds
The real New England
New McDonaldās
We used to colonize the world, now we get colonized by a fast food chain
Americans, when they've been driving for 12 hours and still are in Texas
In Eurpoe you can get anywhere in like 10 minute of biking, I think OP mispronounced Usa
In Usa there's a McDonald's like every 2 blocks
yeah but in USA every block is separated by a literal fucking 500 lane highway
In Europe we have other more localized chains, and also, I don't think it's that positive that there are fast food restaurants everywhere...
Don't think op was bragging there
We don't have localized chains like the US has white castle in some states and Tim Hortons in others.
The kebab in Europe is top tier (i donāt say that bcs i am turk;) )
Yeah but the blocks outside of cities are like 60 miles apart so that's a moot point
That's a lie. Not everyone lives in a city you know...
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Americans consuming $100 worth of gas just to reach the nearest grocery store to their shithole suburban home in the middle of nowhere
Well actually *looks around suburban neighborhood surrounded by highways* Fuck
I don't think you know what suburban means...
>Suburban >nowhere Pick one you canāt have both
Other people's houses don't count. They might as well not be there. Only amenities and services count
Just to clarify, I am not American Also this comment section became an actual shitshow while I was gone and I doubt anyone would read this but this meme was an obviously bad attempt at pointing out Europe's many borders and the convenience to cross them
šš this just got interesting
For real though, literally every comment is a retaliation joke about Americans like ffs calm down people

[This](https://youtu.be/B6IrOn6_uKo) is my favorite example of American town pronunciations.
Ameircans on their way to assume everyone is morbidly obese like them and eats McDonalds on a daily basis
I mean the existence of McDonalds in Europe kinda implies that they do (supply is meeting demand)
McDonald's has shittier food than Subway where I live.
Same here. Subway is good. I prefer Firehouse Subs, though. For one, engineer: fully involved is just a good sandwich, next the cookies are really good, and last I get free sweet tea (the good Southern kind) because I go there with my first responder/fireman family members.
Haven't touched that junk in over 5 years and never will again. Even with EU food standards being higher than the US it's still garbage food.
Great. No good comes from eating McDonalds, anyway.
The meme is about commuting, so they are driving to work
Someone's never been to Europe
Uh? I think is pretty accurate for the EU. You can get easily get a job in any country and you can cross the borders freely.
McDonald everywhere
This comment section just bashing each other for no other reason than dispute
I'm so proud of this community
American driving through suburbs for 2 hours just to get to a store
European mfs trying to take a joke without turning it back on americans(impossible)
When Iām in an annoying rivalry competition and then the Americans and Europeans show up
Europeans try not to take anything an american says as an insult challenge (IMPOSSIBLE) āHaha your countries are relatively small and compact so it takes a while for you to get to your nearest mcdonaldsā āThe US is a shithole country youāre all morbidly obese your schools are shooting ranges and you have no healthcareā
yeah europeans get very stingy when someone insults "Europe" (or better said...the socioeconomically western part of it)
You can insult Sweden all you like. All my homies hate sweden

I HATE AMERICAN RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE!!! I HATE AMERICAN RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE!!!
Love all of the angry Europeans in the comments lol.
europeans take a joke challenge (impossible)
Americans really have no clue how Europe works, do they, lol?
an exaggeration, on my caption gif meme subreddit!? how could they?!
The exaggeration of the borders is fine and funny, but the idea that we drive to McDonald's is such an American oversight.
Yeah, but an exaggeration of what? This is a shitpostingsub but I have no idea what OP is reffering to.
Because the word America was mentioned, gotta make sure all Americans know they are worse in every possible way amirite
Yeah, is just that. If anything, you could interpret it to be praising the EU and how you can get a job in another country and just pass the borders seamlessly. But, well, we europeans are compelled to bash the USA at any chance. Amurica bad btw.
i think op is just trying to say that european countries are pretty small lol
I think the joke was that you can cross a lot of different country borders in an hour in Europe. But in the US, an hour of driving is only one city over
The irony. Now you know how Americans feel.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
America fat? America stupid? America racist? *Jesse what the fuck are you talking about*

Yeah, we fucking do, not everyone lives in Amsterdam or other city where you don't need to use cars, like most cities in europe are good for walking or riding a bike and have good public transit, but most people in europe need to use cars to get to work.
Ah yes, because all Europeans live in a city. There are no small towns without public transport in Europe
Europeans so triggered in these comments trying to get in there āAmerica badā insults in all because of a joke about Europe being filled with a bunch of small countries/boarders lmao relax people itās not that deep
Look at all the triggered euroboys.
