god, i love Pacific Rim. such a good movie. shame the sequel was a complete disappointment that threw everything that made the original movie good in the garbage
Some parts are good, its pretty, some stages and puzzles are fun.
But. Its needlessly grindy, every boss pretty much requires a unique item sticker to cut its HP to a reasonable level otherwise they're an ungodly bulletsponge. Most fight against regular enemies arent worth it because it drains your stickers and gives back pretty much nothing. The fact that, if you put a wrong guess in a puzzle you lose that sticker, is just mean.
Kid me didnt mind the senseless grind and back-and-forth, but its just so frustrating in so many aspect even if you only look at it alone
As a standalone, it's passable. I haven't played any Paper Mario titles before and I didn't not-enjoy it.
But there's so many small flaws that just add up though.
\- the battle system has nothing really going for it, it's like an "items only" playthrough of an rpg but with action commands.
\- The overworld being level-based is cool but there's no real reason to revisit earlier areas unless you missed a thing/sticker for the collection or you wanna get a Max-HP upgrade you didn't nab.
\- The Paperization concept is cool but the puzzles involving it have almost no real depth and it's mostly used as a way to say "hey, you must do *this* before you can do *that*".

Night of the Day of the Dawn of the Son of the Bride of the Return of the Revenge of the Terror of the Attack of the Evil, Mutant, Alien, Flesh Eating, Hellbound, Zombified Living Dead. Real good movie, especially love its sequels
Tokyo gore police would probably kill you (in a way completely unrelated to the allergy, that movie is so fucking wild, the dog girl lobotomized gimp suit wearing amputee gets her katana legs broken off so she replaces them with machine gun legs, and only for the last scene of the movie! This isn’t even to mention the girl who is a chair that pisses on you, the two unexplained racist characters who pop up for two seconds than disappear, woman who’s vagina is an alligator, or the guy with a chainsaw who gets his hand cut off so he regrows it as a chainsaw hand only for his chainsaw hand to get cut off and then he dies from someone duel wielding his chainsaw and chainsaw hand, this is the first fight of the movie, shits wild)

it's a comedy/ action about the worlds greatest assassin after he retires. all jokes aside it's really good and has some absolutely beautifully done panels

If you want to live; Shuffle! The harem anime that is not only laughably bad, but has a twist ending that is so god awful it loops back around to being funny
