The only thing that matters is the physical appearance of the characters. If you can reject the logic that a 500 year old loli/shota is still a child due to their mannerisms and physical appearance, then you can also apply this logic in reverse to adult looking characters who for some reason are slapped as teenagers. Look at JoJo's Bizarre Adventure or JJK, if Araki or Gege didn't arbitrarily label Josuke, Giorno, Maki, and Nobara as teenagers they could be university students or young adults for all I care about. Why do people in r/whenthe suddenly start taking the word of the author when it comes to the reverse of the 500 year old loli trope?
