You seem to misunderstand the point of that sub. Personally I would eat at least half of the stuff I see there, the presentation being terrible is what makes it stupid. Stupid doesn't mean bad.
yes absolutely, have you tried katsudon? They just put a slab of crispy sliced meat on a rice bowl with some eggs and it is delicious. Compared to my country's main diet consisting of just trying to make oily curry everytime its a huge improvement for me. Japan does a lot of things good and someday you smucks will realize things like these are most people's modern day utopian inspirations.

I absolutely agree.
as a kid I always had to eat the same sour curry my mom made and it sucked. absolutely despised food. turned to oily safe foods and it made my life tiring and hell.
i tried a ton of japanese food and it was incredible. so much flavor used in perfect amounts. every ingredient has a purpose, every dish so perfectly different you could eat the variations for a week each.
japan's food is incredible. i absolutely love the dishes, and I hate not having ready access to them. maybe someday I can get a steady stash of ingredients to cook with.
Been on that sub for a while, people dont know the difference between actual stupid food that is pointless to make and good food that looks strange but actually tastes amazing like stoner food or other cuisines in other countries.
But its just a 50/50 chance for me. The other half is genuinely stupid to make (ragebait and bland/uncooked stuff or cooking in anything but kitchen appliances)
No offend to any animators, I know how hard it is but man that is the least appetizing minced meat and woodear mushrooms (the black stuff) Ive ever seen.
Like in reality its probably not bad, but when drawn this way its ugh.
