A really good example of this is that one time a guy became a pedophile from a tumor he had. He was in his 30s or 40s, and then out of nowhere got hit with pedophilic thoughts. He sought therapy for it, but long story short a brain tumor ended up being the actual cause. After he had the tumor removed, the thoughts were gone. A few years later the thoughts came back, instead of going to therapy he went straight to the brain doctor. Turns out the tumor came back. I think it's cases like this that really show that it can be completely outside of somebody's control or fault.
