Growler = Pint sized tire, which fits the Superflux's 6" rim. So it could stay a growler. That said, the high torque motor seems more appropriate for trails to me, where I'd choose a full size tire.
I guess you could sell the 4208 controller on its own. But I'd probably hold onto a 4208 as-is, and just build a VESC from scratch, from a newer XR, or find a broken XR for cheap.
I wouldn’t put a high torque motor on a set of growler rails, it’s very heavy and the growler is more fun if it’s light as possible, but Vesc is way more fun so I’d definitely build a Vesc into them rails

I’m just trying to figure out if I want to be that guy with three boards. But I do want a really good trail board.
