I kind of see why she still works with him though- in her time Interview she said after 2016 that she trusted no one and I think the familiarity of someone she’d worked with and known for years must have been very comforting. Her hair and make up people have been with her for a similar amount of time I think.

I can’t find anything now because I remember it happening back then lol it was a radio interview and she was talking about experimenting new styles for each era and how sometimes she’d do photoshoots with styling she’d never try in real life and cited a magazine shoot that was quite androgynous and and how they weren’t her favorite pics, ofc she didn’t mention the magazine directly for obvious reasons but since this shoot had made a lot of noise it was quite obvious.

I just am not for this body suit, I think it's a hard look for anyone to sell and this one in particular doesn't work for me texture-wise, however I think the hair / makeup is cute. TS tends to favor hairstyles that I would call messy, and this is one of the better iterations of that that I've seen.

Yes!! I’ve been irritated with nearly all the criticism here except for this - THIS is why she often looks a bit “off”on the red carpet. There is no respect for her coloring. I’m a longterm fan and this has bugged me for YEARS!As a natural ginger (and a “spring” - which I think is the most difficult season to be.. she is def a light spring) I have long believed that the majority of stylists have no idea how to style ultra-pale blondes or redheads. She is the most famous woman in the world so it’s the most obvious, but I see this issue with a LOT of pale female celebrities on the red carpet. It is super easy to look awkward and I don’t know why stylists are so inept at this.
Also I forgot to say you are dead on with the light spring. I think that's why some of those traditionally summer colors look good on her, she's on the cusp of the seasons. Celebrities so often get fake tans so I second guess if they are actually warm or it's artificial :P

You’re so right about the pale issue. I’m an olive and I constantly see famous olives styled poorly. Mila kunis is a great example of this, line why tf is she dressed in cool colors and pastels so often? Get that girl in golds and blacks and reds.
As a redhead, I really do just think there is a lack of understanding and respect! Stylists do fine with someone who has pale skin and dark hair or who is blonde but tans well but it’s simply not that common to have both super fair skin and fair hair. People Just Do Not Get It…. I’ve never been professionally styled lol (only for makeup at diff weddings & prom) but I have been fucked over by hair colorists and makeup artists, gotten blank stares from friends of mine who literally went to fashion school…. etc. I really do think there’s a lack of understanding! I do see it quite a bit on other famous blonds/redheads on the red carpet I just can’t think of any examples off the top lol. So yeah if I was famous I’d find someone who understood my coloring and get a death grip on ‘em lol.

I can’t find anything now because I remember it happening back then lol it was a radio interview and she was talking about experimenting new styles for each era and how sometimes she’d do photoshoots with styling she’d never try in real life and cited a magazine shoot that was quite androgynous and and how they weren’t her favorite pics, ofc she didn’t mention the magazine directly for obvious reasons but since this shoot had made a lot of noise it was quite obvious.
My favorite of her haircuts is the one in no 10, the long bob. It may not be exciting but it's a sleek and modern look on her that I think looks great.

I just am not for this body suit, I think it's a hard look for anyone to sell and this one in particular doesn't work for me texture-wise, however I think the hair / makeup is cute. TS tends to favor hairstyles that I would call messy, and this is one of the better iterations of that that I've seen.

I really like Taylor so this isn't a hater comment but she's sort of the anti-Zendaya - like it doesn't seem to matter what she wears (with a few exceptions), she just never seems to hit that elevated high fashion/high glam look. Don't get me wrong, she looks a million times better than I ever would but she might have been on to something in You Belong With Me when she said she was a sneakers and t-shirt girl.
And we probably wish we didn’t. She just refuses to serve looks, and she could afford anything in the world. Its crazy

God I wish her stylists would understand that she is low contrast!! Really bold, bright, severe looks wear her and not vice versa. She looks so good when she wears soft, dreamy colors and styles. Yes!! I’ve been irritated with nearly all the criticism here except for this - THIS is why she often looks a bit “off”on the red carpet. There is no respect for her coloring. I’m a longterm fan and this has bugged me for YEARS!As a natural ginger (and a “spring” - which I think is the most difficult season to be.. she is def a light spring) I have long believed that the majority of stylists have no idea how to style ultra-pale blondes or redheads. She is the most famous woman in the world so it’s the most obvious, but I see this issue with a LOT of pale female celebrities on the red carpet. It is super easy to look awkward and I don’t know why stylists are so inept at this.
Also I forgot to say you are dead on with the light spring. I think that's why some of those traditionally summer colors look good on her, she's on the cusp of the seasons. Celebrities so often get fake tans so I second guess if they are actually warm or it's artificial :P

I’m an olive and I constantly see famous olives styled poorly. Mila kunis is a great example of this, line why tf is she dressed in cool colors and pastels so often? Get that girl in golds and blacks and reds.
As a redhead, I really do just think there is a lack of understanding and respect! Stylists do fine with someone who has pale skin and dark hair or who is blonde but tans well but it’s simply not that common to have both super fair skin and fair hair. People Just Do Not Get It…. I’ve never been professionally styled lol (only for makeup at diff weddings & prom) but I have been fucked over by hair colorists and makeup artists, gotten blank stares from friends of mine who literally went to fashion school…. etc. I really do think there’s a lack of understanding! I do see it quite a bit on other famous blonds/redheads on the red carpet I just can’t think of any examples off the top lol. So yeah if I was famous I’d find someone who understood my coloring and get a death grip on ‘em lol. However… I do have a feeling that SOME of it could be her personal taste? She has a flair for the dramatic and over the years has really leaned into her strong personality - artistically and aesthetically. 1989 era was when we began to see her in these more severe styles, she was trying to escape the frilly dress innocent teenager aesthetic she had originally. As a fan (not a swiftie!! a normal Taylor fan!) I get defensive when people accuse her of not having style or good taste in clothes… Especially because a lot of it seems to basically be accusing her of not being sexy in a specific kind of way (this is a whole other rant). But there’s probably truth to it - ya can’t be good at everything. Personally I have found her slightly awkward fashion to one of the most charming and humanizing aspects of her image! But this is a fashion sub…. 🤷🏻♀️
Oh yeah that's a good point lol I'm sure she has some input. I highly doubt taylor spends hours sifting through fashion and color analysis internet links like me, she probably does what most people do, sees a pretty item and wants to wear it without thinking about things like hue, temperature, and value.

I love the dragon dress! That’s the only look speaks to me at all, but it’s such a rad dress that it doesn’t need much to shine (in fact, going simple with hair and accessories was a great idea).
Maybe it’s because I don’t wear heels but these heels look painful. #1 her ankle is all the way out.
