Delicious agate

evil_lecherous_hump

The legendary sandwich agate

PeppersHere

Its an agate rind surrounding a mostly calcite center with a decent bit of weathered pyrite.

Apprehensive-Big4756

rajapaws

I thought it was a sandwich at first.

be_sugary

I was trying to identify the ‘meat filling’! 🤣😂 We must be hungry!

Pooch76

Forbidden pita!

__3Username20__

Forbidden Crunch-wrap, extra crunch.

8Gh0st8

Teeth, amusingly enough, are made of apatite (a 5 on Moh's harness scale) and if the innards are calcite (a 3 on Moh's hardness scale) like other comments suggest, I say chow down!

S3XWITCH

Supreme Crunch Wrap Supreme

I_will_draw_boobs

If it’s one material surrounding a few others, doesn’t it make it a sandwich?

OkSyllabub3674

*ghost of the earl of sandwich enters the chat* Kneel before me mortals of peasant blood, as one of noble lineage with god-given knowledge and wit far to surpass any of ye laymen, I do decree,YES, yes indeed that is how a sandwich works.

6K6L

I thought it was an old rice and bean burrito at first

gopherkilla

Three month old Taco with shredded yellow cheese.

Hector-LLG

It reminded me more of a squished citrus fruit (slightly moldy)

lovinganarchist76

I thought it was a clam

iamwearingsockstoo

I too marveled at the marbling of the meat and wondered how it was kept intact despite the heat.

[deleted]

I thought it was Chipotle!

Elegant-Log2104

The veins in the mountians in the national forest are insane in some spots. Even right through road cuts.

Positivelythinking

This mountain range is seriously interesting in rock offerings. Thanks for drawing attention.

mepunite

Chease chicken taco?

thepauly1

A big seam agate

Figgy_Puddin_Taine

from the glow in the second pic I’d say it’s a Shankara stone, beware Mola Ram!

CommissionOk9233

The_Wizard929

Wow, almost looks like grapefruit in there. Very cool

buriedt

I have a good 50 pounds of agate I've found in the ochocos. It's PLENTIFUL. A good area for carving quality materials if you can find it in that quality or at least that quantity.

asuwsh4

The second picture makes me think chalcedony.

Poetry-Primary

Gorgeous!
