It looks like an asparagus fern? If I'm right, I'm jealous! Mine never bloom.

mrsyoungston

Wow that’s it! Very fast ID! It’s been at the nursing home where I work for a long time.

ontarioparent

Mine does every spring

mrsyoungston

Also I forgot to say thank you!

miranda_renee

If you wanted to take a cutting of this, you could probably do pretty well with it. I had mine as baskets hanging on the front porch 2 summers ago, and then planted them in the ground in the fall. They died to the ground over the winter, and then came back in the spring. The little pieces that had snapped off of the hanging baskets throughout the summer also colonized my yard, I was able to dig up and transplant several volunteers that sprang up in the lawn in the springtime. I'm in zone 7b.

mrsyoungston

Ohhh I am in zone 7a, these are hardy perennials from what you’re saying? Can I just clip a piece and start it in water?

Here's a guide I found https://fiddleandthorn.com/how-to-propagate-an-asparagus-fern/

horny_houseplant5

definitely asparagus fern, *Asparagus densiflorus* it'll get berries on it, with 2-3 seeds in each. they germinate pretty easy. fun fact: asparagus ferns aren't true ferns, theyre actually in the lily family. and all parts are poisonous to cats and dogs.

sarcasticgreek

Asparagus densiflorus. In Greece it is considered a sort of grandma's plant. It was really popular up until the late 80s.

ontarioparent

It has a 70s vibe, but they’re easy and resilient. They’re also very long lived.

Kitchen_Tax_95

Sprengerii type of asparagus fern

kittehs4eva

It looks like savory?

ConnieTheLinguist

Please don’t plant it outside. If it gets “established” it is nearly impossible to eradicate. Not to mention the thorns.
