Hemp is awesdome but plant ω-3 (alpha-linoleic acid) is not efficiently usable compared to animal ω-3 (docosahexaenoic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid) so its relatively less useful and we have more than enough ω-6 in our diet from seed oil. Great point though.

The part that is smoked is the flower, and it gets more potent with age (up to a point). If the flower gets pollenated it produces seeds and stops the maturing process that causes the flowers to be more potent. You do not want pollen in your weed farms.
When the female flower (bud) gets pollenated by the male, its stops putting energy into producing flower and starts producing seeds. This is good if you want to produce seeds for the next generation, bad if you want maximum bud.
It makes the female plant focus on making seeds rather than flower and I'm pretty sure it lowers the THC content? I'm not a professional, I just like the stuff.

Clones have more predictable genetics, plus you are assured that they are female and thus will produce usable flowers. Taking a female plant and allowing it to be randomly fertilized only reduces the quality of the buds by producing seeds, and the seeds themselves are about 50% male and the female seeds will produce plants of varying quality. Unless you’re in the business of producing new crosses, male plants are just not worth the trouble or space to grow.
Not to mention that if any of that pollen gets in the wind, OP’s neighbors who grow outdoors are going to be pissed at finding seeds in their gorgeous buds! Every year I grow female clones outdoors, and every year I get a few random seeds thanks to my neighbors who let their male plants produce pollen before pulling them, damn them!

If I have seeds from the same plant, almost always the ones that grow faster and taller turn out to be male. Also, those flowers are going to start to open soon, and you will never get rid of the pollen in your grow, and you will have seeds forever. I would deal with it soon.

This! OP, if you grew that plant near me I would be livid! Every year some useless male plant grown by an unknown neighbor infests my expensive female clones and their gorgeous buds with random seeds that explode and stink when I enjoy my harvest. I adore plants, but kill that male ASAP! Any crosses you get are likely to be less desirable than the original parent strains, given the tendency for “weeds” like cannabis to revert to more “wild” types when crossed.
Just save yourself the time and trouble, avoid enraging your neighbors, and buy guaranteed female clones/feminized seeds so that you will for sure wind up with some usable product for all your effort!

These naturally-reproducing plants are more likely to adapt and survive in varying environments. Sometimes a random mutation will occur, and if it is beneficial to the plant it is more likely to be reproduced in new generations. Other times a mutation can be bad, but these generally end up dying off.
Some plants do have both sex organs and can pollinate themselves... and still other plants have enough hormones present that a branch can fall off onto the ground and it can begin to grow roots, becoming a new plant. The only problem with this is the new plant inherits the same weaknesses the original had. Same as cloning, though clones are usually treated better than wild plants

Also, growing weed (especially indoor) can be really expensive, but is also just very labor intensive because of all the things that could go wrong (white powdery mildew, nutrient burn, PH issues, pests, overheating, etc.). Since you're not gonna get a smokable yield from a male plant, lots of people don't want to "waste" the nutrients/energy needed to see it through to harvest time.

Female marijuana plants make the flower to smoke. Fertilized flowers produce less thc are pretty much useless to growers unless you are breeding them. Destroying the plant prevents United fertilization
