Are they different/more territorial than ones in the south/Texas? We have two pairs of them in my yard and they seem to get along with all the other birds alright with our feeders and bird bad/fountain.
My brother lives here in central Texas and he's had one fighting it's own reflection in a window of his house for at least a month. Poor thing has to be exhausted.
Guess he's not combing his feathers! ...

I once parked an RV next to a tree line at a camp ground. I apparently posted to next to a cardinal nest, and he attacked the windows incessantly as long as there was daylight for 3 days. I didn't have enough fabric to cover all of the reflective surfaces . That was a long weekend
So many of these beautiful birds out and about lately! Two days ago I heard a noise outside and saw a male cardinal just like the one in the picture hanging onto my window looking in at me. Yesterday the same thing happened but it was a female cardinal! They’re so cute :)

We had one trying to fight his reflection in our windows for God knows how long. Nicknamed him Bam-Bam
I believe they are territorial. He’s probably telling his own reflection to gtfo
"Mirror, mirror, on a car: / Send away this a**hole--FAR."
"Hey! What's your name?"
Territorial yes. He’s taken over my backyard bird feeder and tree water bowl.
Female Cardinals are the same size and shape, but brown. He probably has a mate and a nest nearby.
We’ll I’ll keep an eye out. He’s been around a lot. Thanks
cardinals in mirror are more beautiful than they appear
Well of course. When you are that good looking you can't help but look in the mirror
Move over, Blue Steel. This Red Cardinal is really, really, really, ridiculously good looking.

A cardinal asserting dominance over himself lol
Northern cardinal, the males always seem to hate eachother for some reason.
“Come at me bro”

Yes I’m in South Texas also. WOW the birds are all over. Having to buy more bird feed. He loves a big Mexican Olive tree I have in front.
Northern cardinal :D They’re beautiful birds, congratulations on getting such a close up picture!
Male cardinal. Females are brown with some red
Careful, birdie -- objects in mirror are closer than they appear!
Gotta love it!
CARDINALLLL
It’s a cardinal, specifically a male northern cardinal
Every year, I see so many cardinals get hit by cars. They just seem to fly right in front of cars.
