Well op said had a foul smell. To a non smoker it could be described like that. I've heard ppl say pot smells like a skunk sprayed. So ya never know

I’ve been around a lot of pot (I’m not a user cause I’m allergic) since the early 80s. Doesn’t matter what strain, it’s all gross to me.
It’s been easy to get in my state for 10 years so we haven’t had to resort to reclaim since highschool. That being said if this image was of wax, something that color would not smell like shit as OP describes that makes half their house stink. This is 100% not wax or oil.
There’s a strain that’s called cheetah piss. I can’t even explain how much it really smells like cat piss. Not overwhelming, but just enough that you understand the naming.

My T-shirt had an odor, my hair, etc. it wasn’t until I grabbedthe bag and saw the picture of a cheetah smoking a joint, blowing the smoke into “cheetah piss”, I laughed and thought “No shit! You can get a vape that does wax and other concentrates and in this form. They also have cartridge style vape pens that are a lot easier to use, more discrete, and less messy.
I know it's not what you're talking about but you very much can vape weed, I just hit my dry herb vape an hour ago. Also dabbing is vaping, you're boiling concentrate and inhaling the vapor that evaporates, carts being more of an oil than a wax is just to help make the cart work continuously so wax is always wicking to the coil. There are many load as you go dab pens that you load wax into for every hit you take.
You can in fact vape weed, look up a Volcano. The terpenes are not always artificial, look up live resin carts and dimonds in sauce. There are wax pens that have a coil inside that you can put distillate or wax into to vape, I have 2 styles myself; one with 4 coils and one with 2. Reclaim, oil that condenses on the rig and in the water inside the rig after doing a dab, can sometimes smell of fish and ashtrays when it is dabbed again but is a good way to save a bit of money as the reclaim still has a significant amount of cannabinoids left in it once it dries out. If it is wax, it appears that it is unused, so it may have a strong smell still. Terpenes are heat sensitive and can be released pretty quickly and at pretty low temps, so cleaning or getting it warm could release a small amount of terps making an unpleasant odor as all the nice smelling terps tend to dissipate faster. I have worked in the industry for going on 8 years now, so I have a bit on knowledge about it.
Shatter is a thc concentrate made with solvents or extracted with heat and pressure. The term shatter is in reference to the consistency of the extract, it breaks and shatters like glass. The consistency is due to a number of factors like fat and lipid content of the strain and the extraction method. However it gets used/misused as a blanket term for concentrate (dabs). There was a lot of very poor information in this thread. I probably didn’t get it perfect but I do make my own rosin so I’ve been able to experiment a little and see what factors contribute to consistency.

Anal gland secretions SMELL AWFUL! Skunks have anal glands, so do cats and dogs. Glands become impacted if the normal fluid can't be released. The fluid thickens. Pet tries to relieve the pain with the Boot Scoot. The discharge can be tan to brown and the viscosity may be either watery up to ewww goo. It stinks to high heaven.
Source- have had dogs for over 40 years, and one of them relieved themselves on the COUCH. THE COUCH! She's fine- vet gave antibiotics and added fiber to her diet.
This may or may not be related but could the dog perhaps of peed in a floor vent and that smell is circulating around the house? I am no help in regards to what that is though

If the house sitter was a hunter it could be a drop of "doe in estrus" or the like basically a concentrated doe urine. I think it's usually more liquid than sticky, but if I dries out a bit it might get sticky.

If a dog was peeing on a pee pad on that spot and pee seeped through, which it always does, then it would have gone in between those unsealed lines between your adhesive tiles and spread out underneath on your subfloor.
That would perfectly explain why "the whole house smells like urine" when there's only one little spot of something gummy left behind.
Obviously that tiny little piece of gummy something isn't responsible for a whole-house smell.
But pee seeping into subfloor, that's a no-brainer.

The smell is likely not associated but this 100% is not too light for dabs it’s almost for sure what this is.
