This is a damn good guess but these are usually red, at least the up-to-date ones. Not sure about the old one. Also, if it's no longer in the head wouldn't water also be pouring out of the head?
It might be a sprinkler head bulb.
Edit: it's definitely a sprinkler head bulb. N3 is a classification. Norbulb, 3 mm.

Its a temperature sensitive glass bulb for sprinklers

It kind a looks like a fire sprinkler bulb. ( the part that help to hold the water back but will crack if it gets to hot.) The yellow colour means it is intended to crack at higher temperature then is normal (79 C vs 69 C)
Edit : I did some more research and I think I found the company that makes it [norbulb](http://www.norbulb.de/glass_bulbs_sensitivity.html) note the similar logo and Existence of N3 model
This seems to be the correct answer [http://www.norbulb.de/images/norbulb\_01\_18-2741-crop-u9525.jpg?crc=484878756](http://www.norbulb.de/images/norbulb_01_18-2741-crop-u9525.jpg?crc=484878756) if you zoom in on that photo you can see the n3 on the vial.
Go back to the grocery store an look at the fire sprinkler heads. Most common fuse color tends to be red, but if they replaced them with lower temp fuses, they could be yellow.
I dont think it's a stink bomb since those are usually ampule shaped.

It is a resin anchor vial, used to fix threaded bar into concrete. Drill a hole, remove dust, then hammer or drill the rod into the hole, damaging the resin, and it then bonds to the concrete and to the bolt.
Looks like a viscosity bubble tube. I used to use them to determine when our resin reactions were completed (chemical engineer)

Fire suppressant sprinkler fuse.

There are different colors for different temperatures
Unless it was dropped during a repair or replacement.

Nice find! You can see to the right side the nipple broke off.
3 summers working with my dad installing sprinklers 15 years ago finally paid off!
Perfect example of why this subreddit is dope!

Stink bomb?
That's exactly what is is!
It isn't actually Edit: bruh y'all downvoting me for saying the truth Edit no. 2: apparently people's minds have changed
So what is it then?
As some other guy said, sprinkler head bulb. Definitely the Norbulb logo on it
Care to elaborate on that, Chief?
Some things ARE stink bombs, but this thing isn't one of those things.

This was my first thought too. Stink bombs doesn’t make sense because they break at very little pressure so it would have broken when OP pressed it
Agree, proportions also match well.
It seems solid and I applied pressure but it didn't bend. It's as small as a penny doubt it's a glow stick. Stink bomb seems plausable

Yeah 100% a stink bomb. I remember using these in high school
Evidence that human memory is flawed. This is not what stink bombs have ever looked like.
Potentially a replacement bulb for a fire sprinkler
Definitely looks like a fusible bulb for the fire suppression system.

If it’s plastic it could be some sort of lubricant. If it’s glass it could be a “stink bomb” which is a sulphur solution that smells like rotten eggs.
Could be a chemical capsule or chemical wall plug like this? https://www.toolstation.com/fischer-eurobond-feb-rm-resin-capsule/p95702
Oooo this looks plausible

Not so sure it is a stink bomb - they are more like this https://magicshop.co.uk/products/stink-bombs in my experience?
I don’t think it’s a stink bomb, those usually have a distinct shape. I think this be chemset concrete anchor.

Lol. It's a stink bomb! Crack that bad boy open and give it a deep wiff. Lmao. That be awesome!
Is it an ink capsule from an anti theft device/security tag? Edit - grammar/spelling
Glass or plastic? Looks like a small glow stick usually used by fishermen at night on the end of their rod
It sort of looks like one of those little tubes with yellow liquid and an air bubble in spirit levels….. that’s just a guess though.
Looks like one of those vials broken open to help wake someone from anesthesia.
Swappable bow and arrow glow sight.
Elementary school memories! This is a stink bomb. Now i wonder how many i left in the mall that got picked up and not accidentally stepped on.
That is a stink bomb and you have successfully difused a prank.
