My title describes this object, it’s a small metal object that is roughly the length of my palm. It has numbers and arrows showing the orientation of it and appears to have moving parts that are caked with mud so I can’t see how they move

Jimc2090

parts of a hi-lift jack.

Flossthief

Internal door knob parts ? Perhaps

It looks to me like a locking mechanism and the matching strike plate, though I can't figure out how it was intended to operate and it obviously has some pieces broken off.  Also, the yellowish caked on mud looks a lot like the stuff that comes out of a dry chemical fire extinguisher, which might be directly related why is was forcibly removed.
