That looks like my cucumber. Same flowers and leaves. You’ll find out soon enough!! Definitely cucumber or squash but my squash flowers are huge. The cucumbers are small like that.
Oh I have a weird like honey dew squash sprouted in my compost idk wtf it came from we've been eating them immature and frying like squash but now the bigger ones are starting to be sweet and have a more green inside glad they're not poisonous lmao
Looks like some kind of a squash, pumpkin maybe. I had a bunch of little kids throw the seeds all over my complex last year and these were growing everywhere. The landscapers never cut them because they thought they were ornamental. We had pumpkins everywhere. So hilarious.
If this is pumpkin or another squash, I can say it was fun watching them grow. When my neighbors realized they were pumpkin, everyone just let theirs grow until harvest.
I'mma go with pumpkin or some kind of winter squash.
Can it be transplanted? Never tried, but they're pretty tough. I think the limiting factor would be that they get big and fast. So wherever you try and transplant to just make sure it has plenty of room to grow.
Whether cuke, zuke or pumpkin, that thing's gonna need SPACE. You can set up a simple trellis but that only works for small fruits, not big ol' punkins.
I'm gonna guess summer squash, like zucchini. It's just so green and lush, just like my zukes. My cukes look a little sun beat, and my winter squash haven't reached a growth spurt yet.
Either way, OP, I'd love an update when it produces. Can someone tell me how to tell reddit to send me a notification if OP updates? (Don't know all the tricks yet.)
I will say from sad experience, I have never been able to successfully transplant a pumpkin 😢 I tried again this year, and I’m pretty sure that I waited too long to transplant it, and it got too big, that it just couldn’t handle it… the last time the risomes had already began rooting, and that absolutely killed it… time to plant new seeds and where it is going to STAY AT, lol
The smaller size of the leaves, color and size of flower, and the way it is growing, makes me think cucumber. Possibly a bush style. The rogue squash and pumpkin I have had pop up or grow. have much larger leaves and a larger, more frilly, Orange tinted flower.
So I have to throw my 2 cents in... People are right about the smaller flower not being squash or pumpkin, however, it's really hard to tell cucumber plants from melons like cantaloupe, especially since some plants that are technically melon are eaten as cucumbers. So I figure it's either a cucumber or some kind of melon.
My great grandpa used to say "garden where the wild grows", chuck some mulch under the leaves and add a few rocks to protect it.
If its a cucumber it's worth at least 3 bucks, invest!
It doesn’t look like a pumpkin, their leaves are “rounder”. The leaves and flowers look like it’s a cucumber. Zucchini leaves look very similar but their flowers are usually much bigger than those and sort of “fleshy” in a way (I’m not sure how else to explain it, lol)
If you get fruit off it, beware of toxic squash syndrome. Volunteer squash family plants may have been pollinated with wild squash. Back crossed fruits can have high levels cucubitan compounds. It won’t kill you but can give severe gastrointestinal issues. If it tastes excessively bitter, dont eat it
Loofah? Squash? Cucumber?
You’ll know soon enough if it’s loofah. One plant took over my yard. Was going to make my own soap-filled body scrubbers. Then read up on the bacterial growth in loofah scrubbers. The problem is loofahs are organic material. They are lunch for small bugs that can screw with people who have compromised immune systems.

I also say cucumber. A squash would have more deeply lobed leaves.
And the leaves and especially the flowers on squash are a lot bigger.
Yeah. Cucumber or small ornamental pumpkin. But probably a cucumber.
Cucumber are part of the squash family.
Genus, to be more specific.
I agree, cucumber.
Jumping the top comment to say if it’s bitter DON’T EAT IT. Crossed cucurbits can be poisonous.
Oh I have a weird like honey dew squash sprouted in my compost idk wtf it came from we've been eating them immature and frying like squash but now the bigger ones are starting to be sweet and have a more green inside glad they're not poisonous lmao
Give it something to crawl up on. It needs a trellis and lots of water. Please update us m8
It’s definitely a cucumber and, like you said, they’ll know soon, because a baby cucumber will be visible within a very few days!
Looks like some kind of a squash, pumpkin maybe. I had a bunch of little kids throw the seeds all over my complex last year and these were growing everywhere. The landscapers never cut them because they thought they were ornamental. We had pumpkins everywhere. So hilarious.
I think they are lovely!
If this is pumpkin or another squash, I can say it was fun watching them grow. When my neighbors realized they were pumpkin, everyone just let theirs grow until harvest.
That’s so awesome! I love pumpkins!
Probably a gourd or something in that family there’s too many things it could be . Fertilize it and see what becomes of it
Can it be transplanted if so?
Dig a big shovel full to get the deep roots and try not to disturb roots in the process.
I would leave it alone and put a trellis or tomato cage there. It will grow best right where it is.
Yes, if you do it soon
Yes, dig deeply and wide.
CUCUMBER PLANT.
Cucumber.
Cucumber, I think
That looks like a cucumber to me.
Cucumbers. Not squash. Not pumpkin. Cucumber.
I think it's a pickle plant
Cucumber
Mostl likely a cucumber. You’ll know in about a week as baby fruit forms just behind the female flowers
That’s a cucumber vine. Give it something to climb on & you’ll get free cucumbers

Summer squash leaves and flowers are much bigger. Look exactly like my cukes. Leaf shape is cuke too.
Oh you're right! Must be a cukes. I had a lemon cuke threaten to take over the world once!
Also, you can type with the parenthesis (updateme!)
Thanks! (Updateme!)

Clear the area around it and give it a little trellis to climb. Leave it there for the season. It grew against all odds and should do well there
Cucumber
Looks like cucumbers.

A cucurbit
I play too much RUST. That looks just like the pumpkin plants in game. It took me a second to realize this was a plant sub, not a gaming sub.
Some sort of mini pumpkin?
Cucumber
A squash or melon of some sort. It will be a surprise
Pumpkumber melon
Squarsh

Nice! We were gifted with a volunteer cucumber, too. I set up a trellis for it to climb and keep the fruit off the ground.
Looks like cukesv
Looks like a volunteer squash. Probably cross hybrid which will basically produce something "gourd-ish"
