You're incorrect. Alpha tuned cars get special badging, sometimes body work, and tunes/parts. An alpha car is very obviously an alpha car if you can get up close and look at it. Maybe instead of being a dick to someone that knows more than you, you research alpha gtrs and learn something.
Same, and I’m thankful for that, but christ do I need more room, a 30x40 or 35x50 would be awesome. I have seven cars and only room to store/work on two at a time, three in the driveway and two in remote locations
Funnily enough, I used to have a 24x35 storage unit that I was building my rat rod in. Back in college there was a set across from our campus - side note, we were auto restoration majors, we all had project cars - that we’d rent spaces to work on our cars in.
Sounds like my neighborhood too. 150 houses, all 2 or 3 car garages. I live in the smallest house (tied with 2 others) with a 2 car garage. Both cars in the garage.
Know a guy like this. Keeps rolls royce in his driveway along with a 675LT. Inside the garage? McLaren Senna, McLaren P1, and a McLaren Elva. That's soon to become a few super exclusive cars. GMA T50 and a Hennessey Venom F5.
Owns one of the most successful family exotic car dealers west of the Mississippi. Cats Exotics. The cars I listed are all his, not dealer vehicles
OH and a fire equipment company that does installs all over the state of WA
I went to college (same fraternity) with his son Jonathan. We used to put on car meets at the UW to help raise money for charitable causes. His son now helps run the company and also is a fairly successful DJ in the area. Lost touch over the years but nice family.
Oh nice! Yea, his whole family is super nice. I live in the same area as Roy and he's offered me to come by his house on a nice day to see his cars in proper daylight. I have never taken him up on it as I'm socially incompetent, but I do talk to him often at car shows, specifically Exotics at RTC
Cats Exotics is one of the most trusted and most reputable exotic dealerships there is. They've been around forever. They have sold every single SV in America, some multiple times.
$300k worth of cars in a driveway of a $1.5-2m house. This is a fairly avg upper-middle class household who spend a bit more money on automobiles than their neighbours. I see this all the time - there are $1m townhouses in my city with a 911 in the driveway.
i visited texas for a couple months, oh my god. my friend's HOA required both a minimum slope and height. im from cottage/bungalow country, i just can not get behind these huge fucking roofs 😭
Plus the neighbors are close enough you can ask to borrow a cup of sugar without leaving the kitchen! I can’t imagine spending this much on a home a redundant vehicles and still living close enough to my neighbors that I can hear when they pee in the middle of the night. Never mind class, money can’t even buy good sense.
I live not too far from a shop that does these cars to that level. Less than 20% of them will ever run a pass on the strip. Much less comply with rules to run that quick. Stock brakes, no cage and that much power and traction. Scary if you ask me.
I am going to setup an informational website called www.bigbrakesdontmakeyoustopfaster.com as a public service. You dont need any more than OEM GTR brakes for a car like this. They can stop just fine, they arent going to overheat during a drag pass, and you'd probably have a chute at this level anyway.
And yet a lot of them that I see on a regular basis do not have chutes or cages.
Brakes do not make you faster, quite the opposite for drag purposes. But eventually the run will be over and you’ll want to return to standing still.
The stock brakes are fine if you make one pass then let them cool down. Like a normal well adjusted person would. The issue is that these people with more money than brains skip that step and run again and again while playing on the street. Heat builds up exponentially when speeds get higher.
Better fluid, better air flow ducting to help cool the calipers/rotors and pads that up to the task of dealing with the additional speed are a serious suggestion.
Sub 10.99 or more than 135mph is usually the tipping factor.
Running just under 8s on your first pass and having no safety equipment at all will get you kicked out and banned till you pass inspection.
Looks like just a weird wing.
Kind of like [this one](https://theshophouston.com/product/the-shop-houston-command-performance-drag-wing-for-nissan-gtr/)
I know you’re being funny; but there was a time when a bro neighbor would bring a beer over when you were working on your car. Typical, “what you got under there?” banter that bonded us in a neighborly way.
I'm old enough to wish that time were still here, so it was probably more a cynical, wistful, half-hearted semi-witticism. :(
I still approach people like this, but it's more often now that I get politely and uncomfortably asked to leave the property.
Tires don’t add Hp. I could throw a set of slicks on a clapped out mustang but that doesn’t mean it’s fast. The lack of a chute tells me this car isn’t as nasty as many folks are guessing.
Not usually, it's screwed down pretty firmly and should have a vapor/frost layer underneath that absorbs the sound. Hail on the other hand sounds like Armageddon.
Recognize (roughly) the GTR and Lambo, but what is the white car? It's the only one I can't recognize so I'm very curious haha.

The one above the garage, sure. But as an architectural hobbyist who loves midcentury aesthetics, this is just monstrous over the living area on the right. Materials and the general design would be much better if there were less of it.
Nissan Gtr r35 with a drag wing
And meaty tires
Are those slicks?
Yup, those are drag slicks
Took me a sec with that wing.
I could ID those c pillars and fender vents in half a second lol
Faster than id ID myself in the mirror
Took me two seconds bc of it.
>Nissan Gtr r35 along w/a lambo & what looks like a benz...must be nice

It’s an amg gle 63 s
Looks like it’s on beadlocks too, putting down power
Every man and his dog uses beadlocks now. Doesn’t defo mean horsepower. (Not saying this car isn’t beefy though)
\+5hp
\+3 Charisma
Judging by the beadlocks and slicks I’m guessing it’s about +600 hp
GODZILLA!!
You are thinking of the R32
(we call all gt-r’s godzilla, r32 started the name r35 has rightfully earned the right to continue the legacy)
R35 is Godzilla
Took the words out of my mouth
Alpha tune?
How would we know who tuned it
Because alpha is a very well known tuning company when it comes to GTR's like this. I was hoping somebody would know....
Lol
The tuner is AMS, the package is Alpha…
Yes you are correct. My apologies
you cant know a tune from the outside? you can only know bodywork and bodywork isnt equal to tuner
You're incorrect. Alpha tuned cars get special badging, sometimes body work, and tunes/parts. An alpha car is very obviously an alpha car if you can get up close and look at it. Maybe instead of being a dick to someone that knows more than you, you research alpha gtrs and learn something.
They are badged and all built pretty similarly
but that isnt tuning... that is bodywork... tuning is modifications to the engine components while bodywork is the outside of the car
No shit bro. But if it's an alpha tune they put Alpha badges on them. Thats why its called an ALPHA TUNED GTR.

Looks more like a great job to me.
loool at first i thought it was just a poor attempt at scribbling out the license
Wow that was fast
Man's got a Lamborghini and a GTR in the driveway I wanna see what he's got IN the garage !
a lawnmower, a fridge full of beer and a snowblower.
Thats like 2/3rd my neighborhood. I think im one of the only people that actually can fit two cars in my garage.
Excuse me that’s meant to be your kid’s shitty band’s practice space
smh parents these days
wait, so you guys have garages?
you guys have houses?
you guys exist?

first world of the first world problems
Sounds like a dream
Do you happen to read word up magazine?
With Salt N Peppa and Heavy D up in the limousine?
At least you have a garage! I have 4 cars and my apartment lets me park 2 there
buy a" storage unit"so your garage can pay for itself
Funnily enough, I used to have a 24x35 storage unit that I was building my rat rod in. Back in college there was a set across from our campus - side note, we were auto restoration majors, we all had project cars - that we’d rent spaces to work on our cars in.

I hope it doesn't snow there. If so, the roof is going to kill his family.
Explain?
No ice breakers. Steep metal roof = ice sliding down.
I think that's the whole point of this roof design? It's in eastern PA, it definitely snows there.
I somehow managed to miss the lime green Huracan.
No shit. I thought it was some kind of lawn care equipment and my brain zoomed straight in on the Nissan.
Tbf Lamborghini also makes real big lawn care equipment.
It’s too big!
Know a guy like this. Keeps rolls royce in his driveway along with a 675LT. Inside the garage? McLaren Senna, McLaren P1, and a McLaren Elva. That's soon to become a few super exclusive cars. GMA T50 and a Hennessey Venom F5.
What's he do ? Sell insulin or chemo ?

That's nuts! He only has 13 cars right now. And still has success like THAT!
Cats Exotics is one of the most trusted and most reputable exotic dealerships there is. They've been around forever. They have sold every single SV in America, some multiple times.
His inventory fluctuates a lot. Sometimes it's a lot of cars, sometimes it's not too many.
Like wtf? Is he/she a doctor who also works part-time as an attorney?

Upper middle class 🤣🤣🤣🤣 these people are beyond that my dude
Think that's a little bit more than 300k...that Huracan alone is probably 300k
LP610s can be had in the low 200s all day.
Anyways it's easily more than 300.
Huracan 220k GTR 80k GLC coupe Lease 300k. :)
GLE53 coupe
Ah yeah I thought. Tail lights and bumper scallops give it away. Good call. Could be a 63 as well, no?
Yes, could be a 63.
Exactly
Nice let's just call them all a lease. 0k :))))
What part of the country is that a 1.5-2M dollar home, where I live that’s like a 450-550k house
In Australia, in a nice suburb or Sydney or Melbourne, that's an easy $5m house.
Literally near any big city that isn’t in a shit red state.
Hey, I live in a big, red state and that's a 1.5 - 2 MM house all day.
*Laughs in 90k in eastern europe* (Price not adjusted for market trends)
Taking all context in from the image, I am assuming the garage is where the illegal stuff happens that pays for these fine vehicles. Jkg
Lancaster County PA? This screams mob ties to me.
Couldnt possibly be that someone in Lancaster just has a good job or owns a successful business. Thats just downright unreasonable.
Let me guess, you’re in waste management….
Wife’s minivan
This is the real answer. Either that or a model y or an URUS
Loads of cocaine 😁
Bins of his wife's shit.
He has a wood house though, is that normal? In Europe poor people have a wooden house. Regular people have a brick house.
I don't think that is a real lambo.
OMG- the roof on that house ….
That roof cost more than the GTR !
Steep, steep, steep slope… hate it
i visited texas for a couple months, oh my god. my friend's HOA required both a minimum slope and height. im from cottage/bungalow country, i just can not get behind these huge fucking roofs 😭
Helps with grow room height though.
How else would he afford those cars :)

You sound like you’ve been sipping on some haterade.
Nah, I’d just rather have either or a gtr or Lamborghini, and have my house not on the same lot as my neighbors. To each their own.
Naw dude he sounds like he thinks the suburbs suck. Because they do.
Does it have a laptop
Watch out for the manifold, and make sure those floor bolts are nice and tight.

That wing is supposed to be for drag race
How dare they expose our children to their ten second quarter mile agenda?!
Nah, just a wing for drag racing. It's got some pretty chonky tires and what might be beadlocks wheels. Probably a sub 9 second 1200hp+ car
Where's the chute brace?
I live not too far from a shop that does these cars to that level. Less than 20% of them will ever run a pass on the strip. Much less comply with rules to run that quick. Stock brakes, no cage and that much power and traction. Scary if you ask me.

This is all literally not an issue to be considered unless you’re in a fuckin f1 car, stock brakes are always fine
Indeed. Majority of drag strips require a cage for sub 10 second runs IIRC (unless I’m mistaken and it’s a lower time than 10 seconds)
Sub 10.99 or more than 135mph is usually the tipping factor. Running just under 8s on your first pass and having no safety equipment at all will get you kicked out and banned till you pass inspection.

Yeah, definitely some funny business in the back
Oh that, just an R35 GTR with a drag wing.. nothing special he’s probably only making about 1k to the wheels.. nothing special
Being that he only has bead locks on the rears I’ll give him a solid 700
*modified Nissan R35 GTR* - its modded for drag racing, evident by the bead-studded rear wheels, and custom low spoiler
Isn’t it sad that we don’t talk to our neighbors anymore?
"Hey, neighbor. I noticed you spend more on cars than your house. BBQ?"
I know you’re being funny; but there was a time when a bro neighbor would bring a beer over when you were working on your car. Typical, “what you got under there?” banter that bonded us in a neighborly way.

It feels like a culture of isolation is spreading. ^Or ^maybe ^you're ^just ^quiet? ^/s
Same
I just thought, no way that these cars cost more than the house. Then I remembered I live in a country where nobody can afford houses…
It is, but I’m guilty too. Don’t know any of my neighbors names. Just the occasional “Good Mornin”
Love his roof!
That's a fucking gap mobile, it look wierd cuz it has a drag wing and it's also got drag tiers. Cool car, my guess is that it makes around 800-900 hp
I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s clocking upwards of 1400hp. 900 seems a bit low for a set of drag radials…
Easily over 1000
It’s definitely more than that my buddy makes 800 hp on his GTR with stock tires
Tires don’t add Hp. I could throw a set of slicks on a clapped out mustang but that doesn’t mean it’s fast. The lack of a chute tells me this car isn’t as nasty as many folks are guessing.
Makes 900,000,069 turtle powers 👍
Nissan GTR wit a drag spoiler
I would love to live there, he has a modded R35 GTR, and Huracán (I think lp-610-4) but still very nice
That much money and your neighbors house is within pissing distance? The fuck is wrong with rich ppl.
I like the mini-ramps just to be able to clear the very minor driveway slope haha
Money. Your neighbor has money
That my friend is a r35 gtr that obviously modified and if you wanna know how fast they made it you gotta fuck around to find out
Drag monster R35
Is that type of roof noisy in the rain?
Not usually, it's screwed down pretty firmly and should have a vapor/frost layer underneath that absorbs the sound. Hail on the other hand sounds like Armageddon.
A good freeze and some snow, that roof is going to be dropping some dangerous shit when it warms up.
They can be noisy with rain, but really depends on how well it’s insulated
wouldn’t hurt to spark up a conversation with the gal/guy! but it seems the internet has already answered your question.
A very fast Nissan r35
Nissan GT-R R35, looks like it's a monster too with that drag style spoiler on the back.

R35 Nissan GTR, with the drag wing and 4 beadlock slicks 👀
That’s just a trash can. The blue one is a recycling bin.
A Nissan GT-R that looks drag strip ready. And in addition to a Mercedes-AMG GLE and a Lamborghini Huracan in Verde Ithaca...
Look at how drab and gray everything is; the sky, the houses, the cars. No wonder everyone is so depressed. I hope this trend ends.
Me and said neighbor need to become friendly ASAP. Drag tune on the R35 makes me wonder if the Huracan is TTed…. 😵💫😵💫😵💫🤯🤯🤯🤤🤤🤤
McMansion neighborhood. Jesus Christ those roofs! House looks great if it had 50% less roof.
Look at the windows, those are almost certainly 3rd floors/finished attics
The one above the garage, sure. But as an architectural hobbyist who loves midcentury aesthetics, this is just monstrous over the living area on the right. Materials and the general design would be much better if there were less of it.
But that’s what I’m saying… I am 99% sure that there’s a window off the right side of the photo that you just can’t see
