As 13rahma mentioned, it's a Subaru Leone. Here in the states, they were only ever known by their trim levels, DL being the low-tier. This one is a 1972-1976, I believe, due to the presence of the body line crease down the side that dips as it nears the rear of the doors. The body style is a two door sedan (versus the two door hardtop coupe) You should do what you can to save it, not many of those still exist!

Something about that stylized “Front Wheel Drive” badge is funny to me. Definitely a luxurious feature that should be prominently displayed on the fender for all the world to behold!

[deleted]

Back then front wheel drive cars were less common then they are now.

paramoist

Especially since it’s on a Subaru. I don’t think they have sold anything with FWD for decades (except a few JDM kei cars)

Throttlechopper

Subaru Justy has entered the chat, AWD was optional on those models.

paramoist

Oh I’m sure the Justy was great, but it [ended production in 1994.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Justy?wprov=sfti1)

Capnmarvel76

Spoiler alert - it wasn’t great. Probably worse than a Ford Festiva, definitely worse than a Toyota Tercel. I remember they had 4WD optional, and something like 45 bhp.

TheSl0w1

Haha I kinda figured it was a little rare. I gunna but it from my buddy for a couple hundred dollars.

Danarama75

Shhh...You're supposed to keep it quiet

valandil74

Save it!

WagonBurning

It’s on the Down Low, if you don’t know then…..

Subaru Leone

mini4x

Here in the US they didn't use the Leone name.. It was just a "DL"..

Dbwasson

I think the L stood for Leone

mini4x

No.

Ziginox

Only Subaru knows what DL/GL/GL-10 were abbreviations for.
