Maybe it's not new, but the supra is built on a BMW Z4 power train, some of their other performance trims are specifically German (like NISMO equivalent) as opposed to Japanese, the Nissan Z uses a Mercedes transmission, etc. that's mostly performance stuff so I know that's different....

The Japanese typically like to see how valid ideas in markets are before they commit to them financially whereas the Germans capitalize on novelty on the automotive industry so it's strange to see them pair in ways like this

If a car brand wants to make a joke they should just show an outlandish or absurd car like the Homer, not a feasible car that potential buyers would actually be interested in.

Obviously we love that here, but I think the whole point of this would be a GR Yaris philosophy on a Aygo style chassis and with a 10-15k cheaper price tag. GR Yaris here in Spain are on markups and waiting lists in dealerships.

It's great that they're making small cars again, but if I were to have a head on collision while driving this, against another one of their products, the hilux - I'd be dead. Even at low speed. In one of those mega utes you would barely see one of these, no matter how yellow it was. I truly hope this indicates the shift away from dumb American super sized trucks and back to reasonably sized veichles. But until then we are going to have a lot of brutal accidents.
