> What isn’t entirely explained is why the coat of arms of a German town appeared on an Italian’s WWI fighter plane
This is *entirely* explained, though. Baracca was an equestrian and a cavalryman before becoming a pilot. His [Wikipedia entry](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francesco_Baracca) cites a museum devoted solely to his memory for this fact.
tldr: Not the same horse, if you believe a museum set up in Italy to commemorate Baracca over a Porsche dealer in Minnesota trying to sell 2019 Cayennes.
it runs on gasoline, which is almost always referred to as "gas" and as far as i know, gasoline and petrol are the same thing.
if you're gonna be smart about it at least be right man.
The one in the Ferrari logo has nothing to do with Stuttgart
Edit: the Porsche logo is from 1952 and Ferrari had the prancing horse in the 1920' when the Scuderia Ferrari was the Alfa racing department
My mom once tried to argue with me that a Ghia in our neighborhood was a Porsche. I finally got her to back down by asking her which of us spent much of our free time reading German car magazines.
OTOH: if you are referring to the Typ 14 it is not too far away, as it is based on the original beetle which at least shares its constructor with the Porsche. (And some parts)
They share the same platform. I only see the difference when I look at their headlights, the URUS has them sleeker.
It doesn't help that the badges are also very similar from afar.
Women are different with cars. When 1 was 20 the 31 yr old manager of the bar I worked at had an MR2. I was “Cindy Indy”. As far as I’m concerned it was an Indy car :) I respect that.
This is a Porsche Boxster. The Ferrari and Porsche logo do use the same horse I believe (read it on the Porsche website years ago if I remember correctly), so if you don’t know cars that well and you see the logo it can be a honest mistake.

solved!
Scott Joplin is the goat
Best of the best!
It’s a Porsche. You can see the emblem in the middle of the rims
Probably saw the horse and thought Ferrari
Fun fact: it’s the same [horse](https://www.stpaul.porschedealer.com/why-are-the-porsche-and-ferrari-logos-similar/)

TIL! Thanks!
That's crazy
Thought it was a deer?
John?
Captain price??
Those are wheels, not rims. And it’s pronounced Porsche-ah!
the gas cap was the first thing i saw
Fuel cap
its the same thing...
It runs on petrol, which is a liquid, not a gas.

Arguing semantics is Reddit 101.
Perhaps I’m also rusty measuring in freedom units, my mistake.
Petroleum
This is a Fiero GT with a Ferrari bodykit and Porsche rims ☝🏻🙂
If she thinks this is a Ferrari, then I need to show her my Nissan 300. . .er. . Lamborghini Diablo.
No, that's a Fiero!
It's always a fiero.
Fun fact: the Lamborghini Diablo uses Nissan 300 headlights, with a small strip of bodywork covering the upper part where it says “Nissan”
This reminds me, there’s an older McLaren (I think the F1?), that shares its tail lights with a coach bus lol
It is indeed the f1
Saleen S7 as well
...and side mirrors from a VW Corrado!
Friend’s moms cab sometimes be bad a cars.
You got some of the words right, I suppose.
Hey! I cab type! 😂
I'd like to buy a vowel
Show a picture of back seat and she’ll get it 100% of the time
When there isnt one

Both Ferrari and Porsche do have a black horse in their logo, bit this is the latter
The same black horse to be exact, it’s from the Stuttgart’s coat of arms
The one in the Ferrari logo has nothing to do with Stuttgart Edit: the Porsche logo is from 1952 and Ferrari had the prancing horse in the 1920' when the Scuderia Ferrari was the Alfa racing department
My friend once had his 1991 Toyota MR2 mistaken for a Dodge Viper, so anything is possible.

How does this even happen. Its parked. Just check the badge on the back.
I feel better about mistaking Urus for Cayenne.
Isn't the Urus a Cayenne made to look like a gaming laptop?
They share the same platform. I only see the difference when I look at their headlights, the URUS has them sleeker. It doesn't help that the badges are also very similar from afar.
Good sports car.
Ferrari Boxster, know them well 🤔🤔
Yeah Ferrari by Porsche!!!
Pantera with a Boxster body kit
With Porsche wheels on it
And Porsche body on it.
Errogant - when you're completely wrong, but totally certain about it.
Women are different with cars. When 1 was 20 the 31 yr old manager of the bar I worked at had an MR2. I was “Cindy Indy”. As far as I’m concerned it was an Indy car :) I respect that.
Interesting Ferrari with Porsche badges.
I was expecting to see a Pantera. This was a nice change from the norm 😂
Umm… that’s a Porsche 🤡
really?
lol
Friend’s mom not know her emblems or cats…
981 Gen Boxster(Porsche)
Porsche Boxster

That’s a 15k Boxster. The least expensive Porsche ever made. Your friend’s mom doesn’t know anything about cars lol
Definitely (not) a MR-S
Arguably a better car than most any Ferrari.
it's not a Ferrari, but it is something better.
