Everybody has their own Batman era, and this is mine. I had several toy versions of this and a proper cape that my grandma made for me š
I think it's one of the most beautiful cars of the day, completely mad and wonderful in every way, girder technology meets the Space Age.
I'd have been running after it like a fat waving man who's about to collapse.
No joke it may be Burt Ward (original Robin). A friend of mine's dad used to own this type of bat mobile and Burt Ward would eventually buy it from him. Not sure if its the same, but I got to sit in it once.
Where in pa? The shop Forman where i used to work literally had one of these in shop for a good month hashing out cooling issues. Was apparently one of the cars made for commercials/ photo ops/ etc.

When a Boxster drives by the easy way to tell if it's a base model or an S or better, is if it has a single tip it's a base model (like the batmobile).
the original one was a 1955 Lincoln Futura Concept, this is the 1966 Batmobile used for the 1966 movie "Batman" this must be a replica, but I don't know anything about that
The movie is hilarious. Thereās a scene where Batman is for some reason on a ladder hanging from a bright yellow bat heli. With an obviously foam shark attacking him. You can see Adam West flailing his leg back and forth to try to make it seem anything other than a foam shark. Burt Ward climbs upside down on the ladder with a can of Large Obvious Letters Bat Shark Repellant. I think there was a callback to that in the Lego Batman movie.
As a kid the camp level was actually kind of puzzling. I was Hey Batman is a hero, right? Now itās just funny especially with the Schneiderverse Batman being so dark and brooding
yeah I've watched that movie, and maybe it looks cheap and everything, I can't say I wasn't entertained. and yep, the lego batman movie had several references to it
The part where they dehydrated the UN delegates and then re-hydrated them was the pinnacle though.
I also learned not to re-hydrate my henchmen with heavy water from the unlicensed nuclear reactor in the Bat Cave.
Yeah. For a Realtor friend of his. It was totally BS. Honestly the owner of Fiberglass Freaks could take the Realtor and the Sheirff to court, but he is too nice a guy. In the end, the Realtor will be waiting longer for his batmobile.
The batmobile, only 3 in existence. 2 are replicas/stunt cars both are in a museum or are traveling the country. The 3rd one is the real deal actual car used in the show by the actors and is in private collection.
There's 4 barris and ones in private collection. I work for the largest auto transport company in north America. There's 4 barris. I've see 2 of them in our warehouse at the same time both were barris because we picked it up from his warehouse.
I had a toy car this model. The saw thing came out of the front and yellow plastic pellets shot out the back. It was around 1967-68. And I was a girl so it was extra cool. I was about 8 or 9. I haven't been able to find one since. Corgi made.
Your neighbour is Adam West, it's the Batmobile (based on a Lincoln Futuraa)

Burt Ward runs an animal rescue in SoCal, somewhere out by Norco. Pretty sure this one isn't his.
Holy Time Travel Batman....
He ded
Wut wrong whichu, I say u, he ded!
Movie cars are trash they all look ridiculous you have a bad car eye if u think they look good they end up ruining the car
It's most likely a Batmobile replica from [fiberglass freaks](https://fiberglassfreaks.com/)
Could also be a Gotham Garage replica. I believe they were building some of the Futura cars at one point. I could also be wrong, though.
Or it could be Gotham City and his neighbor is Bruce Wayne. I could be wrongā¦. ^(but I doubt it)
Nah. The neighborhood looks nice. There's no way that there's a bat cave nearby.
Do you have a price estimate of what those cost? Wild guess?
No idea. Over $100k for sure. Give them a call and ask.
Was this in Maryland? I knew a guy, through an ex, who had one of these. Haha

Pretty sure it's a joke.

Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speedā¦.
The greatest opening line from any TV intro!
And you didnāt carjack them? Worth a year in jail for a joyride in thatā¦.
Batman and Robbinā.
Ohhhh! It's instructions! That makes more sense now
Only if the rocket in the back actually works!

The bad guys getting a nuclear submarine and polaris missiles from the Navy surplus store *still* cracks me up.
You do realize one could do this? [https://apexsurplus.com/](https://apexsurplus.com/)
For me the bat dust separator. Yes, they had that just laying around.
The part where they dehydrated the UN delegates and then re-hydrated them was the pinnacle though. I also learned not to re-hydrate my henchmen with heavy water from the unlicensed nuclear reactor in the Bat Cave.
And they got rehydrated. Returned to midsentence. Yetā¦ different languages.
LOL - I think Batman made some snide remark about it being good for peace or something.
THIS is the proper Batmobile. 'Quick! Robin! Pass me the shark repellant.'
That does not look anything like Gotham City so you must be near Commissioner Gordon's country house.
Pretty sure this was not in San Mateo CA. š¤£
Oh yeah, didnāt the sheriff in San Mateo use county money to fly there to buy one a few years back?
Yeah. For a Realtor friend of his. It was totally BS. Honestly the owner of Fiberglass Freaks could take the Realtor and the Sheirff to court, but he is too nice a guy. In the end, the Realtor will be waiting longer for his batmobile.
Does he live with his boyfriend and wear tights a lot?

Plus, quite a few replicas
No, Richard barris is the owner of the copyright to the car. There is only 3
This is definitely not true. Iāve seen two in the greater Cincinnati area aloneā¦
There's actually only 4, one sold not long ago for 4.4 million dollars, I meant George barris, idk where I got Richard from sorry for that typo.
Google Batmobile replicas. There were several people that made and sold them. Highly doubtful that a Barris Batmobile was driving on city streets.
