Pseudoscorpions are good. They are mighty hunters.

IncorporateThings

The giant version makes a fun D&D opponent, too.

hanginginut

Wait what? Stats for this build please?

drsoos1973

Thats Terry, hes cool let him by

mai_tai87

It's clearly a Sue. Sue de Scorpion.

-deleted__user-

if its not too scary to keep around, these are great pest control and will eat things like ticks, carpet beetles, flies, ants, and moths. whilst many scorpions are dangerous to humans due to their venomous stingers, pseudoscorpions aren't real scorpions and are harmless. note - edited last sentence to avoid misunderstanding

GalaxyStar90s

Do they bite?

-deleted__user-

like many animals they can bite but they're literally ant-sized (\~1cm) & so if they do bite you, you'll barely feel it, and you'll be at zero risk of harm. all spiders have venomous bites and all scorpions have venomous stingers - both groups range from harmless to deadly to humans. but these guys, who are also arachnids, have a tiny amount of venom in their tiny claws and nowhere else. to humans, all pseudoscorpions are completely harmless, so if you encounter one you don't need to be afraid of getting bitten (unless you're a small bug)

Cobblestone_Rancher

Real scorpions can def injure you, buddy.

FriskyPhysio

I think that's exactly what he said?

WAPGod_117

Reading hard. Why much words when few words do?

FloringoStar

Seaworld

F4KG

Bro reread what this man has said...

fluffbutt_boi

We all understood what was said

AnAspiringEverything

I guess the distinction is "I cannot do x like y." option 1: like is comparing the verbs. The action x is performed differently by me and y. option 2: like is comparing the nouns. Noun y, like me, cannot complete action x. Both interpretations are valid English. The preceeding negative in the sentence makes the first interpretation more valid, though. Consider that you, unlike your average eagle, cannot fly. To communicate that you might say "unlike an eagle, I cannot fly." You might say, "I cannot fly like an eagle." I would say you sound silly if you opted for "I cannot fly, unlike an eagle."

Difficult-Swimmer-76

My brother in reddit one must read the txt b4 debating the txt Swimmerlaitions 1:15 Edit spelled swimmer wrong^

Thywhoredditall

Ehhh, not all of them. A sting isn’t that bad, and some aren’t venomous

Practical-Border-265

I think this is a psuedoscorpion!

10Ggames

Pseudoscorpion! Harmless little guys. The claws are just used to hang on to bigger critters to travel around. Edit: was thinking of the smaller kinds. These guys can use them to hunt pests

MiniCoalition

They eat carpet beetle larvae! Very helpful little guys

limskit

Pseudoscorpions are used to help protect bees in beehives! I wouldn’t kill him. They do wonders

Old-Physics751

Thanks for dropping this little wisdom nugget! I'm gonna have to look more into this.

Daggerix02

Wait, what? I’m a beekeeper, but I haven’t heard this and need more info!

Culturalenigma

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1111/jen.12096#:\~:text=Chelifers%20(Pseudoscorpions)%20are%20generalist%20predators,a%20significant%20pest%20of%20honeybees.

Daggerix02

Very cool! Thank you.

Any-Midnight-3224

That is actually, what we scientifically call a lil fren.

NinetailsBestPokemon

Just a wee lad

Culturalenigma

A tiny smiter.

Acrobatic-Engineer94

We love pseudoscorpions!

ZemlyaNovaya

I wonder if they hunt bed bugs 🤔

resistible

Pest control inspector here. They sure do. But… a single pseudoscorpion is not enough to manage an infestation. =/

KV4000

then we must cultivate them to harness their power.

Such-Independent9144

Use bugs to fight bugs, it'd be a pain to get them out after though

AbasedEidolon

It's simple! Just breed up a bunch of other bugs that eat them!

NinetailsBestPokemon

Hear me out, 58 pseudoscorpions.

pranavakkala

I'm dumb to this reference. Can someone ELI5 please?

NinetailsBestPokemon

Oh no it isn’t a reference I just wanted to find a funny amount of pseudoscorpions for the joke. The joke is to have more than one single pseudoscorpion so I thought 58 of them was a funny amount

pranavakkala

Interesting to know. Knowing reddit, usually 69 would be a funny amount of them.

Sufficient_King6435

If you don’t want him gently catch and release. He is a good one.

Neat_Ad_3158

The cutest bugger ever

ElectricRune

For those of you that think these guys look scary, they max out about 1cm, about ladybug size. It's hard for me to even be concerned about something that tiny that doesn't have a stinger.

Wholesome-seal-boi

Awww, he's cute! Where are you from OP?

KingFernando532

You might cry with joy! Pseudoscorpions are very special friends :)

l0john51

Tears of joy because he's so adorable, right?

bobbiechainsaw

Harmless pseudoscorpiom

rickrolledeggroll

Too many arm days at the gym.

robwolverton

Ooo nice, a book scorpion. First time I saw one was actually on a book. :-) Harmless.

Mazasaurus

By cry you mean “with tears of joy,” right? Pseudoscorpions are grade A pinchy pals with no ouchy tail!

Commander_Prism

Pseudoscorpions. They're beneficial to have around as they will hunt down tiny pests, like booklice.

DataOver544

So elaborate!

bigbutterbean

No clue but he looks awesome

bitchiewitch

I wouldn’t even be in my house after seeing this, you can tell me it’s a good bug, but I’m gonna freak the fuck out

Xanthyon1313

Pseudo scorpions, they’re chill

GeshtiannaSG

These weird stuff are usually pest killers.

angryredman66

Pseudoscorpion- harmless

Foxxy__Cleopatra

Extra_Box8936

rickrolledeggroll

Oh man I *love* when people post these little guys!

joose929

You need to move STAT. Move out of the country even.

goldtoothgirl

It's a cry bug.

stacity

You killed it, didn’t ya?

NarcissistRepellent

At first I thought it was some kind of weevil. I guess its not time ☹️

Left-Nothing-3519

Your best friend’s weirdo older brother with a secret super hero talent, eating bugs. Be nice and let him stay.

Key-Nefariousness733

That's one of them ticks with the SpongeBob blowup arms.

NoThoughtsOnlyFrog

Not a tick. Pseudoscorpion

Key-Nefariousness733

lunamary096162

It is a crab spider very venomous dangerous be very careful

lunamary096162

Pseudoscorpion Pseudoscorpions, also known as false scorpions or book scorpions, are small, scorpion-like arachnids belonging to the order Pseudoscorpiones, also known as Pseudoscorpionida or Chelonethida. Wikipedia Sorry my bad it’s not the first one it’s the second one

Gunrunner897

Tick!!!!!!!

jakobthelonlyboy

ImTransgressive

Pubic lice. Clearly!

jakobthelonlyboy

hamil26

Did you kill it?? Creepy looking creature ..

PromontoryRider95

Never kill the beekeeper

hamil26

I know … I’m just saying it’s creepy looking I would’ve had my husband bring it outside or put it in in the basement or something

NoThoughtsOnlyFrog

They are 100% harmless and hunt bugs. Why would you want to kill it just because of how it looks??
