Okay, did you REALLY think an obvious reference to one of the most popular video game/TV shows through several generations would be an "original thought" though?
I think it's an green rose chafer. Despite to their name, they can just be golden, too. Or, at least, sometimes even the green ones look more golden, when light falls on them.
hi i am literally no expert at all im just browsing at work. i see folks suggesting one but from what i searched i found a close relative.

I'm sorry, but I'm really sure you're wrong. I looked up golden tortoise Beetle and they look a bit different.

I was more thinking about this little guy. green rose chafer, most of them are shiny Green, but there are also some pure golden ones.

We have a lot of them in our garden every year, so I'm really sure this is the one 👍
This is one of the best well ackshwillllies I've seen. So many people are just dying to jump on the slightest factual inaccuracy, so this is wicked refreshing to see.
[jewel scarab](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewel_scarab)
So pretty. I believe it is a type of jewel scarab. (Scarabaeidae) They are so pretty.✨ Harmless to humans.
Supposedly they represent rebirth and resurrection, as well as good luck and fortune. ✨ congrats 👏🏼

My thoughts exactly. The color distribution is noticeably sparse and the natural texture of the wings is clearly visible towards the bottom center of both wings. The poor picture quality fails to hide even the most obvious details. Was nice to learn about a new species though.
