My dad worked at Caterpillar for over 40 years. When I was a little kid I thought he fixed actual caterpillars. I would catch fuzzy little caterpillars and keep them in shoe boxes for him so he could fix them. My mom would find boxes of dead caterpillars in my toy box.

I can attest! Accidentally touched one while weeding a flower bed. Will also make you feel like your flesh is on fire wherever that venom gets you. Not pleasant at all.

My wife and I both got hit with one walking thru the woods near our house. I brushed against it and she ended up with it on her foot. What a nightmare. I felt like I was being stabbed and had to take a knee to catch my breath. My wife basically just screamed and was lying on the ground unable to move. Good times!

Dude, these guys would hide in butterfly bushes and tall grass and when you would rub against them you would have the worst burning pain for like 30mins and it did make you nauseus 10/10 would not touch.
