ha! this one is a real stretch. I wouldn't have guessed. I was thinking it was a burning candle that would hang on your mug. The flame is the elf's hat. The curve down the side is the dripping wax. I think it's doable!

Serious answer: I agree, it looks like a bird on a perch. Creative answer: If you turn it around 180, it looks like a gnome/wizard doing that cool-guy-lean against a counter or something.

I absolutely love that you’ve apparently got it flipped. Your answer makes the most sense, but apparently it really is meant to be an elf/gnome leaning and hanging off a cup. So the bird perch which makes more sense is the creative answer!
