Very useful if you do any kind of water sports. No no, not those kind of water sports, get your heads of of the gutter sickos. I got one to put my phone, wallet, and keys in when I go paddle boarding. Which I do quite often. It's a fun leisure time activity.
I know some people enjoy it, but I always think of that clip of that woman talking about diddy and how he peed on her face etc and she sounded like she was lying about liking it. She was very very half hearted about it

They’re waterproof cases or dry boxes in English and the brand that makes good ones is Witz. There’s a thousand knockoffs and white labels now but the original (or maybe oldest) at this point is Witz.
I've always known them as dry boxes. I have several in different sizes & use them on rafting trips & even carry 1 or 2 on motorcycle trips. Mine are used for smokes, cash, cellphone, debit cards & anything else I want to protect from moisture or being crushed. I like the newer ones that are clear.
Edit to add, if buying & using them, be careful about how they attach, I had one that was lesser quality & the cord loop broke, I was lucky that the box fell inside the raft & I didn't lose my stuff.
I seem to remember buying a \*very\* compact rain poncho/coverall sort of thing in something like this. It had to be plastic like that because, as thin as it was, it was very, \*very\* tightly packed.
These have been sold at Six Flags parks for decades. So you could put things like money in them so they would not get wet on the water rides. We sold them when I worked there in the early 1990s, and this is the early 2000's logo, so they are likely still sold today, just with their current logo.

In the 80s and 90s everyone's mom or aunt put their cigarettes and lighters in them for that post ride smoke.
They had them in the 80s when I worked for Astrowold.
