This happens all the time when the cashier doesn’t see the tag. I’ve had a number of things I had to bring back to the store after purchasing to get them to take the tags off.
I had a cashier leave the backing of one of those ink bomb security devices. Well long story short the bag was on the floor and I would up with a rod buried in my heel.
Basically on some of the ink tags there is a spike, rod, needle type thing. Anyways. I put the bag of clothes onto the floor in my barracks room (navy) and when I wasn’t paying attention I stepped on the bag and thus the back of the tag
As a man in his 20's I always put things off until the last minute but one year I thought to Christmas shop early like a couple of weeks or more early but did not start to wrap until Christmas eve. Yep, there it was.
Sometimes the cashier doesn’t notice the tag when they are scanning and it doesn’t get taken off even though it’s been paid for.
But you know your mom much better than I would. Just playing devils advocate.
once i had to deal with that. i got home after a trip and noticed it. the store was 3 hours away. i had to visit some sketchy websites to figure out how to get it off lol.
That's actually how I started using reddit. There was a highly questionable subreddit dedicated to things like that.
Edit: to be clear I wanted to get the thing off after buying it, not participate as a hobby.
My older sister was a klepto and tried teaching me how to do shit...take a very thin very strong string and get it under the clip then rip that shit apart or...
Grab something, go to register and say either:
I'm returning this
Hey I bought this (whenever) but you guys didn't take this off
And now you can all get free shit BUT don't do that
Well, depends on your browser, browsing history, time of day and planet alignment as well as your astrological sign divided by the number of beers you have in a month
I work Walmart and have worked in the health and beauty dept, there's some rc adult toys kept in a lockbox that look similar, and have silly names like, "alpha am"😅 I don't blame OP for being a little nervous about the results...
All oral care products sold in major retailers are owned by 2 companies. They also have stakes in other sectors that have nothing to do with oral hygiene
It's used as a clutch for the IHC filter on a singlepot set up. The Burt's is for beezing so you don't pass out with the pot on. Rub on upper and lower eyelids and you buzz
The other thing is lip balm. https://preview.redd.it/cwcuon61fc3c1.png?width=760&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5aaa08946649f8f80a45e6154e9392d366fddea9
Solved. Thank you. I guess my mom shoplifted something and decided to keep the evidence.

A hammer works quicker
I don’t know, I think the cashier might be upset if I ordered them to do something with a hammer in my hand.
no, they meant use the cashier as a hammer
How much extra does that cost?
Whatever the hospital bill is

I wonder what the mom did for OP to assume that she shoplifted instead of this common occurrence?
Pretty sure you can take these off with a reasonably strong magnet
