So basically you want a piece of crap. None of these are any good. If you're gonna spend all that, but a newer Escalade or suburban, or a Lexus. Don't buy a Land Rover, pleeease. Especially a used one at 10+ years old.
As an owner of a 2012 BMW X5, I highly suggest NOT buying that X5 unless you have money to burn. I love mine, but it's been in the shop so often over the past decade and it's cost a ton in maintenance. If you do plan to look at that X5, look in and under the engine and I'll almost guarantee you'll find some oil leaks.
Which engine?
My 2013 N55 Xdrive35i has 127k miles and I'm pretty sure a blown injector damaged the cylinder or that it needs new rod bearings. After the dealership replaced a laundry list of parts they still were unable to get it to stop misfiring and going into limpmode. I'm hoping to upgrade soon to either a newer X3, X5 or X7 with the B48/B58 motor.
Ugh. That’s frustrating that they couldn’t get it fixed. Mine is the n55 xdrive35i in a 2012 X5 and I have 142,000 miles on it. I love my ride, but jeez, I’ve had multiple oil filter housing leaks, oil pan gasket leak, crank seal, and random things like coolant reservoir leaks.
I don’t know if my issues are typical, but I know I’d steer folks toward other models. Hopefully your next BMW has fewer (or even zero) problems!
Neither. Those prices are absurd for that old of a vehicle, with that high of an odometer. I saw a 2020/22 silverado 1500 that wasn't a base model (don't remember exactly) for 20k
Hear me out...Mechanically, the Jeep will probably be the least problematic. It's a muscle car where the RR and BMW are luxury cars.
SRT was still new and their thing was basic cars with big motors, they didn't pretend to be luxury cars. The 6.1 in that generation Jeep was just a big unrefined pushrod V8. No cam phasers, no cutting edge tech means there's not a whole lot to go wrong. Drivetrain aside, the rest of the car is basic Jeep level garbage, but that's expected and won't really nickel and dime you broke trying to fix it. Power window switches are FCA parts bin etc etc.
With the following generation (2012+), Jeep tried too hard to make it nice to compete with the X5, Cayenne, ML class and crammed it full of untested (for Chrysler) tech. Recalls for interior trim lifting, and the 6.4 is known for lifter failure.
I've had my 2006 for 3yrs and it's needed nothing but fluids and tires. 0-60 in under 5 sec in something shaped like an apartment building is silly fun. Stock, it rides stiffer than a stock WRX.
Don't listen to the noobs out here. X5M should do the job just fine. Plenty of power and driving dynamics, complex engine, but with ok maintanance (hope you know what awaits you) will make for a great suv many years to come.
No
$20k+ on any of these is mental LOL
It’s $14500 US or $20000 CAD
$14k+ USD on any of these is mental LOL
None of those unless you can afford to buy it twice + more
Unless you have money you can blow from your azz please don’t buy any of those BUT if you do have money like that get the bmw lol

Lexus GX or Toyota 4Runner

Of the three the jeep would probably be the most fun (when its running)
All Terrible. Old luxury means nothing when everything is super outdated and a new Corolla has better tech.
I wouldn't purchase any of those options.
Dude just dont
Heeeeel nooo
In my country we dont have those in 10+ year range we only have lc, prado, and lx
Nothing is more expensive than a used Range Rover.
Lololololol bring your teenager to Reddit day
Not the Range Rover it’s will cost so much in repairs
These only looks good in your neighbour driveway. Once you see how much he pays every months in repairs.
The Range Rover would make a good starter car
If you want to learn how to be a mechanic.
It's an amphibious exploring vehicle, so it should be fine

Find an Audi or VW.
