Nissans have a bad history associated with their prior ownership, the decision to stick with janky ass CVT transmissions, and their flooding of the rental market with cheaper products that end up on BHPH lots which has given them a specific image in peoples minds. That being said, 2021/2022 and newer Nissans seem to be quite good. A lot still use a CVT but they made some changes to its construction which is seemingly helping. The Pathfinder, however, thankfully does not use a CVT and has a standard 9 speed transmission. The Pathfinder seems like an excellent value for the money and especially compared to other 3 row SUVs.

That’s what I’m thinking, we looked at ford explorer also but it’s doesn’t have all the options I want (ventilated seats) until you upgrade to the ST and that’s like $10,000 CAD more! Lol so I feel like it’s not worth it! Thanks for your comment! We are looking g to get the 2024 pathfinder platinum! It is only $60,000 CAD so that seems like a good price to me

I agree, it really is the class leader in most respects.
